Why Gundogan?
I think Löw will call him up on Friday, why shouldn't he?

City players NOT on international duty should be:

Sergio, Laporte, Fern, David, KDB, Mendy, and Foden. Maybe Vinnie.

Surely France can't keep ignoring Laporte?

England U21's play twice so Foden should be on duty. Although that shouldnt stop him playing at Swansea.

Like OB I watched them against Norwich and they weren't bad at all and controlled large parts of the game against the League leaders at Carrow Road. Celina was good as was the young kid up front and fast, very fast. Lots of young lads breaking their neck and they play in to feet and then over the top or through the channels. Reminded me a bit like Derby under Lampard. They won't be a walkover and we'd better turn up.

It’s reassuring to know Pep will always go strong regardless of the opposition.

A game for Mahrez and Jesus to come back in, think Sane will start again. Subtle changes and a strong, strong line-up.

0-4 City

I think Swansea’s style of play will suit us.

I thought both Gundogan & Ozil were persona non grata with Germany or did I get that wrong?

Edit: Ahh, NVM. I just checked and updated myself, although he wasn't picked for the last squad I can't see many other options for them in midfield. Pity, I'd have liked to see him get a rest given his injury history.

I watched the Swansea game against Norwich last week and even though they lost 1-0 they looked the better side for large parts of the game. The team is unrecognisable from the one that was relegated from the Prem. Its full of young players who looked fast and keen.

Definitely not a game to be taken for granted. Strong team please Pep then some rest for a lot of the players.
Agree with this, I watched that game as well and was very impressed with the way they played. High energy, pressed high up the pitch and played out from the back. It was great to watch but I think it will play into our hands.

They had 70% possession against West Brom, had a pass completion rate of 90.3% and still lost three nil. I suspect they won't have 70% against us but we will need to be careful of their counter attacks. This won't be a stroll in the park by any means and I think Pep and the players know this.

Aguero's got a fortnights rest since the Argies haven't called him up, Gundogan is in the same boat so I'd like to see him continue myself.

Can't see Gundogan not being called up after the recent cull of senior German internationals, Loew will need some continuity in the squad.

I wonder if we will hear of any Klopp type quotes that they have fewer rest days than us?
In anticipation.........
From the Swansea coach? Nah. Maybe from Klopp himself, although he obviously doesn't watch us or talk about us, ever.
