Pep also confirmed that he has a fully fit squad (minus Gündogan) for the visit of Swansea, with no new injury concerns
He was excellent defensively on Wednesday night, one of the reasons they created next to nothing.Defensively the weakest link is Toure who does not in my view track midfield runners and that has led to goals conceded eg Everton. I think it was a mistake to recall him although he has made a massive effort this season in regards to his weight. He looks like a footballer now and is still a very influential player for us. I think he leaves our defence very exposed when he plays though.
At West Ham it was Sagna and Kolarov who tucked in and screened the area behind and beside Toure. However, because that leaves the flanks exposed, it meant Sane, Sterling, SIlva, and de Bruyne had to be sharp and run like mad to ensure the opposition could not overload those areas. Swansea will likely be unchanged again, so if we play that way again, we can expect Carroll and Routledge to float into those areas.
That's settled, then.PEP: I am really impressed with Swansea. I am trying to find ways we can attack them and I can’t find it! It’s so complicated.
No it isn't Pep, it's easy.
Front 4: Leroy/Jesus/Kun/Sterling
Halfway line: Kev/Dave
Holding: Yaya
Back 3 & gloves: your pick
Another big win for a confident City.
5-0 Jeff

On to Bournemouth.
It's good to be confident, sure it might not be 5-0, but we gotta be winning these games. After all, these are the best years to be a City fan, football & players like I've never seen. Of course I'll take the blame, but I'm not on the pitch so technically not my fault that we lost 0-1. But we didn't!You're both happy to be taking the blame if we drop points then? Sound work lads.
That's what happened a lot at the start of the season, when we won 10 in a row. Our full backs tucked in and provided a screen. With the energy we have up front we can probably cover the flanks, Sterling and Sane have the pace to play a wing back style game.
