I don't understand the "like Blackpool" comparison as it were a compliment. The 2 worst teams at COMS last season were Villa and Blackpool by a big margin.

not true, villa beat us and we were really lucky v blackpool to grab the points.

in my universe (and everyone else's) we won 4-0 and 3-0 against Villa dipstick!

pretty sure everybody's universe has us losing to villa in the league and being lucky vs blackpool away

But he said at COMS, he wasn't talking about the away games. Still think he is wrong about Blackpool though, thought they did ok at our place, especially going forward, there were plenty worse than them.

Im delighted swansea are up - never been there so will relish the trip. Whenever ive seen then, the atmosphere and fans have been great. Would love to play them 3pm in swansea on the opening day. i bet there a lively lot at our place!!

Welsh teams should not be allowed in english leagues, that simple really.

Why not? They have been there for over 100 years - and were in the top flight of the English league in the early 1980's. No one bothered then...... so now it is ''The Premier League'', rather than Division 1, loads of people are going mad!

Berwick (an English team) play in Scotland, Monaco (an independant state) play in the French league, teams from Lichenstein play in the Swiss league (I think!, definately play elsewhere!) Derry play in the Republic of Ireland league despite being in Northern Ireland. It's no big deal.

No one seemed to care before ....but now they are in the Premiership, apparently it really matters ...

The thing is, to a lot of people, football dosen't exsist outside of the premieship.
Therefore it only appears on their radar when (team + prem) are put together.

dont forget coming back there isnt usually a direct from Swansea to Manc, so have to stop off at Cardiff or Bristol.
