Swansea - Post match thread

Take the Sideshow Bob incident for one. That was a real six pointer right there. He gets sent off; we win the game; Sergio and Ferna don't get suspended; all of a sudden the league table looks a bit different. Chelsk have had some proper, lets call it luck this season. We haven't had much in the way of luck. In fact if it wasn't for the bad luck, we'd have had none at all. We just have to keep plugging away and not giving match officials any excuses to f**k us over.

The thing about all this refereeing inconsistency is it questions the actual integrity of the league table, as you say the clown gets sent off for foul on Kun, we win, no suspension!
Against spuds, walker should go plus pen we win, walker suspended affects their results, Rojo twice two footed tackles should have gone for rags, it's ridiculous, but the way the FA have set themselves up leaves it well nigh untouchable and wide open to corruption and abuse.

Oh yes, that's the line they've all taken, Pep alienating the greatest striker in the Premier League!

But you're right, they are genuinely worried about Gabriel Jesus. Has anyone said the rags could have got him but they weren't interested?
I am particularly looking forward to meeting the rags, this kid is ready to rip them a new ar@sh@le.

I have been talking to my rag brother about him since August and he thinks (without him ever seeing him) that I am being OTT. I like to think he is not going to fail to notice him soon and that will soon turn to fear!

Come on I think that's a bit far fetched IMO. I cannot understand why fans can't see the bigger picture, it's a transitional season all this trial and error with personnel and tactics will bode well for next season. We are evolving and have slowly integrated young hungry talent who are going to be stars at our club for years to come. Once we get the full back situation sorted and hopefully a new keeper we will look frightening.
Yes Conte has come in and done a fantastic job but his rigid tactics are easier to adhere to compared to what Pep is trying to achieve here. We have seen flashes of brilliance already this season just wait until next season when his methods will eventually become second nature for most of the players and we play more consistently with different systems in our armoury. I'm loving this journey with Pep already, we just have to take some bumps along the way. Have faith and patience.!

Think this sums it up pretty well, Pep's made some big errors of judgement this season which could potentially cost us a champions league place. But the last few games have also shown glimpses of what he is trying to build. We have some of the most exciting attacking talent in the world and they are only going to get better the more they play together. Hopefully he can sort the defence in the summer and bring on a few from the academy - still hoping maffeo may have a future with us.

With the amount of money invested in the game you would have thought that by now a Judicial Review or Not Fit for Purpose against the FA instigated. I know that the Gov't / Select Committee are starting to stir.

The beneficiaries of these dodgy decisions will always say these things even themselves out over the course of a season, but we all know that is bollocks. The main beneficiary this season are miles clear with only 14 games left, and the Rags will qualify for the CL by hook or crook this season, especially with Gill at the FA. It is in the interest of the FA to have the big money earners in Europe.

You actually talk to your Rag brother? ;-)

Just listened to Dermott Gallagher on TS giving his opinion on the Swansea goal, he mentioned Willie looked disappointed he didn't save it and made no protest, piss poor opinion but that was part of the game Joe Hart was very very good at and had several decisions reversed if I remember correctly.
