Play at tempo and we'll win at ease.

They won't attack like Gladbach did so we'll do very well to catch them on the break, quick accurate passing and shooting at the right point in the move is key.

If we perform this should be a hammering for them Brenda or no Brenda.

If Delph plays and they realise that the game wont be quagmired in the midfield, then we should permanently be on the front foot and we win.

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Mangala Kolarov
Yaya Toure Fernandinho
Navas.............Silva
Sterling Bony

*Sterling positioned to play off Bony but to actually play ahead of him, running past him a la Bournemouth. This should give them a lot of problems
*Navas instead of KDB in this one for balance since it's traditional 4-4-2

Seems unlikely that Swansea will make an appointment before Saturday's game. Who's been put in temporary charge? Think most of his backroom staff were sacked too.

Looks like first team coach Alan Curtis.

Edit: Looking at his Wiki page (I think I'm going to start my own, everybody else seems to have one) he's purely temporary. He's 61 and it wouldn't be a Swansea normal appointment, so no new manager syndrome.

Pretty sure the record of caretaker managers and permanent ones replacing those sacked during the season is pretty poor in the premiership especially when the side is playing away from home against a side above it notwithstanding we made an ordinary fist of Villa's first game in under new management albeit away from home.

Never give a sucker an even break they say and hit them harder when they are down are signs of sides that mean business.

The players probably knew the writing was on the wall for Monk for a while but there was little reporting of unrest between management and the playing group.

If anything it should prove as an big incentive for us to take advantage of the turmoil that can hit a club when a manager is removed.

Lets have the drive we had for a good period of the second half on Tuesday from the outset and the mindset required for the whole game.

No matter the opposition you don't want to take the foot off the petal at any stage.

Any win is a good win but it would be good to have a comprehensive one again with a clean sheet.

Goal reporting that Aguero still struggling with his heel.

Next game after Swansea is Arsenal away which makes Swansea must win. I hope the players are fully recovered after beating BMG. Helps with it being a home game, and on Tuesday.

I didn't think Clichy experiment worked well, although he did put the cross in for the equaliser so I'd go back to Sagna. I'd be tempted to play Clichy at left back to give Kolarov a rest but after this game we have a break.

-----------------------Hart
Sagna-----Otamendi-----Mangala----Kolarov
---------------Delph---Fernandinho
-----------------------Silva
-------De Bruyne----Bony-----Sterling

Some people thought Yaya had a good game in midweek. I didn't so I have left him out of my team, but I'm sure Pellegrini will play him.

Could be that Pellegrini might make some changes we do not expect after all the games we have had. But his options are limited.

Clichy, Navas, Kelechi should be available and could come in. Might be OK to rotate some players, but I hope we leave the central defence alone. We need Mangala and Otamendi to get as many games together as possible

I think we will win 2-0.

I miss the training reports on the forum that were as informative as one could hope for regarding the likelihood of who was in contention and who was likely to be missing.

Goal is only quoting MP who I wouldn't rely on up until he gives his presser.

Its unlikely we will have any of our injured players available this Saturday so hopefully all came through ok on Tuesday.

I suspect we won't see VK or Kompany before the new year.

Hopefully Kun will get some game time against Arsenal.

In terms of recovery periods I tend to add a few games to his hopeful returns and well see type comments and on average its not far off the mark.

I think if we in a cup final or had to play for the title Kun would be given an injection and he would play for sometime at least or through the pain barrier.

The problem is he usually takes a few games to hit his stride and that's always one game closer to his next injury.

A number of players in our squad are injury prone and have been for sometime so we need some of the academy to come through a play a role.

Our season will rest on how MP manages the shortfall but Sagna said it best when he said there is no excuse for being asked to play more games than one otherwise would.

If Zabba and Clichy were fit and at their best he would only get some restricted game time so he has the attitude at least off the park when he says let me play in every game.

If Bony , Sterling , Silva and Kev are up for it we should be able to outscore Swansea but I would hope for a clean sheet for once this Saturday.

I think we might start with the same XI that finished the Borussia game:

Hart
Sagna
Otamendi
Managala
Kolarov
Fernandinho
Toure
Navas
Sterling
Silva
Bony

De Bruyne has played a lot of games recently, and Navas and Bony did well when they came on. Delph would be unlucky to miss out, but think Pellegrini will opt for a two man midfield at home against supposedly "lesser" opposition.

I would play with Delph ahead of Navas but other than that I think Swansea while a good possession team will be dangerous on the break.

If we snuff out their midfield we are well on the way to dominating possession in dangerous positions.
