Swansea (QF) Post Match thread

Amazing comeback .Thank heavens for Bernardo and Kun.
Seriously what we have we learnt.
Delph is crap (I know we already knew that) and the ceiling of his ability is in a mid table Championship side. Repeated failures should mean he has no place in this Team.
Walker is not good enough full stop. How long can we keep blaming the World Cup for his brain farts.
Gundogan has as much spine as Nasri had. A skilful player but no use if presented with physical opposition.
Gabby really worrying now at how little he offers. He has not moved forward since he arrived and is no way a replacement for Serg (but then who is).
Mahrez .I was delighted when he signed but he really is poor and maybe is just half of a successful Vardy/Mahrez double that worked well in a period of Leicesters style but offers little now as an individual.
Other than that great onwards and upwards.

Never seen such outrage from BT about contentious decisions in a Manchester City game, I wonder what the difference tonight was?

Having said that, they weren't wrong that VAR would have overturned the decisions... it doesn't however mean the game would have definitely finished 2-1 either though, the equalizer was coming before the penalty was given.

I'm not sure if Sterling stumbled off balance or dived/bought it as the Welsh pundit tried to say but it didn't look like he appealed for it, the ref pointed right away. I will give Sterling the benefit of doubt but if it was deliberate he should cut that out, we don't want refs having excuses not to give us the correct decisions, nor should he feed the unjustified reputation he has of being a diver(in a City shirt).

Class act.

No, a class act blames the rain, the wind, the grass and the opposition turning up.

Other than half the team not being good enough for you.

In all seriousness, I think the last gasp slide tackle is a Delph trademark that he used to good effect last season. Unfortunately, if he's a tiny bit off the pace through injury or lack of match fitness, it makes him just that split second slower, and great tackles become late tackles and a decent player becomes a liability.

Agreed, but unless ZInchenko picks up an injury or is withdrawn when the game is already dead, it is hard to see Delph play the minutes now that would allow him to build his fitness. The margins are far too slim to accommodate any similar mistakes.

So the lesson is... start the same team in every game?
go on then i'll speak in block capitals.

you pick the best 11 fit players available to you. when and only when the game is safe do you put on the second string players. it gives the first team players a rest yet the game is safe.

I don’t think Delph will play another game for City. He’ll be gone in the summer and won’t be risked in the run in now.

He is shite. Really shite.

Walker needs to buck his fucking ideas up as well.
