Awaiting the Beeb's hatchet job on us now.

Beeb just shown our highlights. Only had to replay the pen once to agree sterling got the ball before defender tackled him ie penalty & aguero would have been given offside if theyd had var however city deserved their win by creating chances and changing the game with match winning subs. Nuff said

Our penalty was a pen BTW, yes the defender did touch the ball but he didn't get enough on it to disposses Sterling, then he brought Sterling down with the follow through. There are examples of this in FIFA match guidence for refs.

I don’t think it was, but it certainly wasn’t as clear cut as Hartson would have us believe. At best 60:40.

Not sure VAR would have changed Sterling's pen - even after viewing fro various angles it can be argued either way. Not sure why you think Raheem dived - the contentious bit was whether the Swansea player touched the ball - he certainly caused Sterling to fall whether he got the ball or not.

And if you notice Raz never appeared to ask or look for a penalty.

you pick the best 11 fit players available to you. when and only when the game is safe do you put on the second string players. it gives the first team players a rest yet the game is safe.

You're right, his goal was magnificent tonight, he has that in him, he's so skilful, on so many levels, but it's his work rate that impresses me more than anything else, it's phenomenal, he's like a supercharged little terrier!
