Swansea (QF) Post Match thread

Pep Guardiola’s response to Sergio Aguero’s winning goal coming from an offside position: “All around Europe there is VAR. Here there is not. I don’t like to win in that way. I am sorry.”
Fantastic reply Pep. The spluttering fools cant blame us after that.

Had we taken our chances, we,d have scored a lot more than 3. They can pretend Swansea deserved to win or were the better team but it's really not true. We got lucky with the decisions is all. It happens. They're embarrassed for prematurely gloating and they're terrified we might win the quadruple. Hence the meltdown.

Didn't think Mahrez played that badly. Don't think Sterling did any better and he's started to hold on to the ball too long.
Think Mahrez maybe needs a few games to get his confidence back, but I doubt he will get the opportunity.
We need the Kev of last season to get the speed back in our break, Gundogan definitely too slow.
As for the penalty the defender clearly pushed Sterling which unbalanced him.
Felt sorry for Jesus as I thought he did some good work but nothing came off.
Swansea showed skill in the first half and got all the luck. We showed our character to come back. Sergio fantastic goal.
Good to get that bad luck out of the way, if we had had the luck we would have won 6-0 at least.
Need to take off the blue tinted specs Sven that was never a pen on Sterling.

All I can say after that
WHAT a cup tie that was.
Brilliant from Swansea first half.
Couple of decisions may have gone our way second half - certainly not sure on the City penalty which was right in front of me.
Swansea fans I've talked too obviously gutted but taking it in the spirit of the game.
Loved it
It was a penalty.
But Swansea and city, turned this into an fa cup tie, a proper one, the ones that I fell in love with as a kid.
We used to lose them though.
I applaud Swansea, their players and their manager.

They're weeping in Norway....

That was absolutely awful from Marriner. He's got to be on the bung there and should be investigated. That was undescribably bad. You can understand one mistake but gifting them 2 goals? Horrible stuff.

If we go through I hope we draw City next.

The cnuts should be out.

Feck off City...that's all!

It's bloody unfair!

Swansea were robbed. If we beat Wolves we play City in the semis you watch

It's blatantly obvious that the referree was corrupt. There should be criminal prosecution

Feck off City ........and when you get there, feck off again

Its hard to watch city anymore without constantly thinking theres a fix going on to gift them the quad.

Are there still people thinking FA is not corrupt? 99% of these "mistakes" seem to happen in favour of 2 clubs in particular. City and Liverpool. Liverpool scored like 1/4 goals from offside, not a coincidence. I can bet in 10 years or so FA emails or something will be leaked as well, it's a matter of time.

Whatever, world is full of coincidences and City clearly buying their way to FA cup is one of them

So will Sterling get reprimanded by the FA for the penalty?

city FA Cup win will be tainted by this. if it happens. The scandal of liberty stadium.
The rattles and toys are flying out of the Pram. Best duck. Boo-hoo, you babies.

sick of it though. i'm not there tonight but I know plenty that went, its a long way to go to see us field a weakened side with a semi final at stake.

give over Bill.

Those fans have had a hell of an away with a comeback like that and not one of them will be pissed of thinking he fielded a weakened side ;-)

so Pep do you now accept that rotating doesn't fucking work. we are not a selling club so no need to put Delph in the shop window, or indeed feel sorry for him so give him a game. you also do not weaken the team out of sheer embarrassment because you spunked 60m on a wank winger we didn't need.

put the best 11 fit players out and play your fucking games once the game is safe.
So the lesson is... never rotate?

Who cares? Not I.The penalty that put PSG out of the CL was just as dubious. The spittle wasn't flying then. Innit.
