Swansea are clearly in a bad run of form, but I'm not sure it's all Monk's fault.
Swansea barely spent in the summer, they only spent £9 million which isn't much in the Premier League in 2014. Teams like Crystal Palace, West Ham and Stoke who were spending quite big money were obviously going to overtake them.
Swansea sold their best player Bony for £30 million in January, didn't re-invest any of it, didn't buy a replacement, but it's the manager's fault? Not sure about that.
Rodgers looks the favourite for the job, I think that would be a good move for him. A top half finish and bigger teams will start looking at him again.

Very very rare in football that it works out going back for a second spell as a player or manager

If those allegations are true posted in another thread the problem is higher than him.I know clubs usually have a new manager bounce but I suspect the problem hasn't gone away with Monk.

Shame - the recent disappointing run aside he's been good for Swansea, I really thought they'd give him more time.
Hopefully he'll bounce back even stronger - there's not enough decent young English managers out there.
