I remember doing a bit of northern soul dancing to that at the under 18’s disco at the Concorde Suite in Droylsden circa 1972. A true and genuine classic.

Extraordinary. Been hearing that all my life, literally since it first came out. Never bothered to find out who it was. Always just assumed it was Otis.

Not going to bother posting it, because absolutely everyone on this thread knows it. But always been very, very fond of “Dancing In The Streets”. And also don't forget the beautiful “Heat Wave”. Ah, Martha and her Vandellas! The soundtrack to my late childhood and early teens.

I may well have been playing it. Used to dj at Concorde Suite quite often in the early 70s.
