To be fair though, Albania caught them on the hop, but then Italy were far better. Spain are just a good team.

Croatia was the match where they looked really below par and were lucky to score so late.

If Switzerland play like this against England, they will dismantle Southgate's flimsy tactics.

This is what I feel we’re missing (among other things)… the managerial nouse to recognise and nullify opposition threat based on analysis of what they do and how.

It seems we really do just send them out to try and figure out how to make it work between them.
