Sydney shark attack

No mate, they were well below me,and there was no rush.
Mad thing is,I know they are bottom feeders and would not cause no bother, but I knew they would come for a look about soon.
As I said,my arse just went, even though I knew there was no danger.
Would have been a great sight

Years ago when I worked deep sea we were drifting off the Italian coast awaiting orders. There was hardly any wind and the sea was flat calm. In those days we chucked all our waste overboard and it wasn't going far. Someone rigged a rope ladder up and a few lads were going swimming. I was laughed at when I warned them of sharks, especially with our food waste going in the water. One night there was a load of commotions on deck and I went out to see a 15-20 foot shark ravaging the rubbish. Needless to say that was the end of the swimming.

I took the misses on her first scuba dive on the Barrier Reef many years ago. We were swimming around with a bunch of Reef Sharks, they were cute and playful (like Drone). It was the Moray eels that would suddenly come flying out of some hole or other that scared me more

Just got back from the Maldives was snorkeling with sharks every day just 10m of our atoll all sizes up to 3m mainly Nurse sharks but black and white tip to, went from bum clenching scary to swimming out stroking (in a non sexual way) them, We had a jetty where they basically lived and there would be 20-30 of them asleep some times with the rest just swimming around you

I think it was called Ko Fanui or Fushi or something like that. I’ll see if I can find it later.
It was a long time ago on my honeymoon. The island was a tiny cheaper sand floor affair then. You’d walk around it in less than half an hour. Last time I looked it had turned into a 5 star luxury complex.

Edit: Totally wrong with the name. I think it was Reethi Rah that we went to with Kuoni Travel. I’m not even sure they go there anymore.
It is an all inclusive 5 star now.
