Arming the very people they are supposed to be fighting against. Clever.
Pretty sure you are not right on this
I would be shocked if some of the money being supplied to the Syrian rebels isn't finding its way to Al Qaeda indirectly. The west should get the fuck out of this one. There is no morality to justify intervention. I don't agree in action to protect western interests, as it's imperialism by another name, but we don't have any interests in Syria either.

I'm glad you think it's funny Mr.Bush.
You can do soft humour at a push
You still can't find those WMD's ,oohh shoot
Looks like you fought that war for nothing
Ain't that a hoot

So go ahead with your buddies cracking gags
While down at the Airbase they unload the BODYBAGS
It's good to know how much those young lives meant
Even if you think it's funny,
Mr.President

I'm glad you find it funny Mr.B
You've sorted out your Daddy's legacy
Saddam is in the graveyard
You are walking tall
It wasn't your collateral that got damaged after all

Although the future may be brighter, non the less
In the here and now, you've made
A bloody awful mess.
Until you clean it up
I think it's best to "sush"
Even if you think it's funny

No else is laughing.
Mr.Bush.

If the U.S confirms it,it MUST be true!

I prefer Jeremys poem from Peep Show

'Fuck you, Bush!
It's time to get out off Iraq, Bush.
What were you even doing there in the first place, Bush?
You didn't even get properly elected, Bush.
Are you happy now, Bush?
Fuck you, Bush!'

Re: Syria: EU Lifts Embargo on Arms to Rebels

I find it uncomfortable that whenever civilians are being killed by Murderous regimes people on here are happy for us to turn a blind eye.

Surely as a human being you would want to defend the freedom of people under extreme persecution if you have the resources to do so, Im not saying military intervention is the answer to Syria, but im just suprised so many on here are happy to not give a crap about innocents being slaughtered as long as were alright Jack - its a dangerous rhetoric and you would of supported Neville Chamberlines at the outbreak of WW2, Dealing with unnegotiable dictators sometimes means that military intervention becomes inevitable.

Just a hunch.
Why? I'm all about equal opportunities. If they talk shite, hope for a Third World War (that we lose - no doubt killing millions) then I'll say they are talking shite, be they male or female.

If she was a bloke I'd have said "shut you ****" so of already toned it down.

Sadly, it's not as simple as that though... Yes, there are huge numbers of innocent civilians who are being killed. However, there are also huge numbers of these rebels that are are wandering the streets executing others. It's like assuming that everyone in London is a Chelsea fan, when you've got Arsenal, Spurs, Fulham etc. knocking about.

There's plenty of unpleasant footage on the internet of these rebels committing crimes. Not everyone is in the same boat.

I was making the main body of a surface to air missile last week so if it does kick off properly, at least all my hard work won't have gone to waste.

I take it you can't write messages on them like...

"To whom it may concern, have a lovely morning/afternoon/evening.
We hope this fine piece of British engineering reached you in perfect working order"

If your so keen to save the people of Syria why don't you sign up and get on with it ?

Or is it just easier to sit on you high horse and slag everyone else of. That doesn't want our lot fighting and dieing in a shithole thousands of miles away in a war that has fuck all to do with us ?

BTW before i forget why don't you get to fuck you shit stirring cockney wanker.

Are the 'rebels' actually still a rebellion of the people of that country or has it been infested with generic islamic extremists who just follow the fighting ?

Yep it has and we want give those loons weapons ffs.

Insanity that is isn't it.

Then we can't arm them.
As long as these trained nutters are around as soon as the guns and rockets come in they take them all.
Then they get a foothold in an area and start to enforce wahhabism.
Schools are the first to get torched.

We have to find an alternative if we insist on getting involved.

I've always thought our arms industry is poorer because of this. The personalised cards industy has boomed recently, this would be a logical step in being able to charge that little bit extra.

It's a missed oppotunity.

Petty insult for no reason , its a debate about going to war and we obviously share different views. I for one dont care if the war is nothing to do with us, i just think if mass genocide is taking place we should step in and do all we can to prevent likes of Saddam killing his own people.

I'm not happy about it, but we're a long way from the situation where the regime are responsible for all those deaths. The 'rebels', many of the Al Qaeda stripe, are also killing many civilians. There isn't a goodies and baddies and this. All we know is that the longer it goes on the more deaths there will be. If the west hadn't interfered it would probably be over already, albeit with Assad still in power. However, if the alternative is the new Taliban in Syria, I'll take Assad any day of the week.

Can't we in the west just impose a new regime on them led by someone like, oh, I don't know, Tony Blair perhaps. I'm sure that winning smile and charisma would calm everybody down.

Mainly because you won't be having to risk your life going over there.

Still at least you've not been thick enough to request another world war and that we lose in it, with Iran one of the victors. But not even you are that fucking idiotic I suppose.

so no one can advocate military help unless they are happy to go over there themselves ?

We're bound to sell a lot of it to the EU because that's where Italy is and every Italian I've been in always ask if I want pepper. (When I say "every Italian I've been in", I mean restaurant.)
