Joking apart I'm not sure what anyone expected to happen, fined 50% more than Allardyce (although fines are meaningless with the salary's managers earn these days) for saying the linesman had a bad game and has previously had a bad game when officiating Utd. Tbh I think he was only charged because Allardyce had been after the cup game - not much point to either charge in my opinion, especially in light of the "punishments" meted out.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has been fined £8,000 for comments made to the media following the FA Cup third-round replay against Manchester United, the Football Association has announced.

Sir Alex Ferguson fined £12,000 for criticism of linesman Simon Beck
Rag in embellishment shocker!!!
I know mental arithmetic isn't everybody's strong point nowadays, but 50% of £8000 is £4000.
£8000 + £4000 = £12000.
Therefore, £12000 IS 50% more than £8000!
Yes he was absolutely correct! Haha! That's a bit embarrassing.
