Even by their standards the World Cup coverage so far on Talksport has been dire. They are essentially still taking their agenda from our tabloid press instead of producing insights into what is happening in Brazil. Collymore and Saggers must be the most moronic presenters ever on the airwaves. Shouting and ranting incoherently, poorly researched and unimaginative material, no humour. It really is sub-standard broadcasting. I wouldn't be surprised if their ratings have plummeted.

Brian Moore is their only redeeming feature, and he isn't on very often.

Moose is trying to muscle in on an interview with Sepp Blatter tomorrow, and intends to get some pertinent questions in. Could be interesting.

Moose wont get anything interesting out of Sepp Blatter . Sepp knows how to avoid answering tricky questions .

Moose will be incapable of asking anything tricky.

Why do they feel the need to belittle Moose at every opportunity? In any other work situation it would be called bullying and not tolerated.

Possibly because he's the only one on that show who's a fan and not an ex-pro - so obviously he can never know what he's talking about and so is regarded as the runt of the group.

But it's ok, 'cos it's just banter'.

I'll probably get shot down but I've got a lot of time for Ian Abrahams/Moose. Not only does he, in my opinion, talk sense (albeit sometimes he p*sses me right off with some of the things he says), but his work ethic is immense. If you notice during the season he'll be at games most nights of the week through all of the leagues and then he'll be back in work doing his first piece at around 5.30/6am the next morning. The boy works bloody hard and in my opinion deserves a hell of a lot more respect than that given by certain presenters, notably Brazil. Thinking back, the abuse that Irani used to give him was disgusting at times.

Your spot on . The Moose is probably the hardest working journalist at Talksport .

Regarding listeners, i was thinking about this the other day.
I am usually alright at judging the mood of the nation, so to speak.

I think they have a steady listner rate but much lower than they probably projected.
It offers no real insight on any issue tbh and gets tiresome all to quickly.
I say that as people still read red tops and this is the the radio equivalent imo.

The Moose is a city hating ****

Just listen for an hour and then think what in that hour did you learn or entertained you? Plus in that hour there would be at least 25mins worth of repetitive adverts it's shite but I probably listen to about 1 hour a day of the shite just to remind myself its shite

That's like saying the bloke that keeps shitting through your letterbox and running away has got nice hair.

i`m not listening to t/s so,
how often have they mentioned the scum directly or indirectly today
I automatically filter these out but Chile's controversial Venezuelan Jorge Valdivia is set be the star of the World Cup according to Dim Tim

If you switch it on randomly you're more likely to get an advert, or a fucking jingle (how many fucking times do you need telling that you're listening to Talkshite , or what gobshite is on) than actually hearing any sports related talk. Oh, and how much fucking airtime in any given hour is about gambling?

Anyway, I'm with you, I tune in on an ad-hoc basis to remind me how awful it is. During the season it isn't as dreadful, but right now it's dog shite - the World Cup build up is woeful.

Also, if you listen to Brazil's show, he constantly gives out the number to ring in to talk, but they never have Joe Public on the show. So effectively they're robbing the mugs that call in when he gives the number out. It's a fucking scam.
