It’s easy listening in a morning and just simple bollocks really. Brazil and McCoist buzz off each other.

Agree on that point, thought the fire engine face reference this morning was funny as fuck, great alternative to boiled bollock.

Thanks for the correction, forgot to add the Huddersfield hat trick :-)

Yeah 146... not too shabby...

I always quote his total league goals when comparing with Shearer, Rooney, Henry etc... people forget he didn’t arrive here until he was 23. ( Shearer 19 seasons and Rooney 16 seasons compared to Agüero’s 7 seasons.). He has already surpassed Rooney’s league goals and 40 more will surpass Shearer.

Agüero seriously underrated

Edit: because he’s passed Rooney already

Bang on the money mate, couldn’t agree with you more, I’ve never thought of how few seasons Sergio has been in the PL compared to the other top scorers.. He’s utterly brilliant and looks sharper than ever this season ...

Aguero's issue with the general public has always been the fact he's consistently been one of the best, but not quite the outright best in any given season. So people have just become accustomed to his excellence and taken it for granted. You listen to people talk about the best ever, all the names mentioned all had that one standout season where they just dominated the league, not necessarily the most consistent*. That's why people act like Suarez did more than Aguero, because of one admittedly incredible season. Aguero's injury issues have taken that away from him. With his repaired knee and continued progress under Pep, this could be his year. Although that seems unfair, as we know just how incredible he is and he shouldn't need one perfect season to prove it.

Also non-City fans have their agendas too. Easier to argue that Aguero's not that great than admit maybe Bergkamp wasn't that incredible a player, compared to Aguero, despite his ridiculously god-like technical ability.

In ten years time I can assure you Aguero will go down as a true legend in the non-City fans eyes. It's just that romanticism doesn't tend to happen until after a player's gone.

*The irony here, is that people spoke about City of last season as not being the best, as they haven't done it with any consistency and one season doesn't count for anything. Maybe people just find it hard to admit how good City and their players truly are.

All three of his goals on Sunday were different types of strike, but they were all typical Agüero goals.

He is a goal poacher supreme, but is equally adept at long-range shots and he has scored his fair share of headers, considering his stature.

He has won the golden boot so he has been the outright best striker at least once,i think it was only season before last he had his best scoring season ever in his career,we all know if he played for anyone other than us he would have won player of the year at least once,it's the measure of the man he has chosen to stay with us and recieve little in the way of accolades

He has a wider range of goals than Suarez for me. People don't seem to acknowledge that sort of stuff.

Off the top of my head:
The 4th in the 5-1 against Tottenham
That goal against Chelsea with his left in his first(2nd?) season
That title winner
That crazy goal against Liverpool from the goalline
The winner at Old Trafford in Ferguson's last derby
Both goals against QPR in that 2-2
The 3rd in his Watford hattrick last season
His 3rd and 4th against Leicester last season
His 1st and 3rd against Huddersfield last week

And they're only the exceptional ones, that I can remember without thought. There are plenty of goals he's scored that most players would call great but to him are just the normal (like his 1st against Chelsea the other week). Aguero's raw ability being ignored is something that can wind me up big time, considering people just have him down as this sort of poacher that does nothing.

It's eerily similar to what people have been saying about Jesus and Sterling recently. It's hard to trust non-City fans sometimes.

Add on the headed goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi final.
Amazing goal for a player of his height.
