Was it just me or did anyone else have a tough time listening to Trevor Sinclairs reasoning about wanting United to get a three point reduction for playing a weakened team.
When asked - correctly I felt in the context - about why City shouldnt also get a points reduction for the weakened team they put out v Chelsea (that also could have effected the others in the CL race) , he was adamant that we shouldnt as our weakened team was better than Uniteds.
Thought Trevs argument was flawed to be fair and didnt do himself any favours I felt uncomfortable with the blue blinkered view and arrogance behind that view. I love the way he stands up for us normally but thought he was off the mark here. To be fair he probably sees it as effecting West Ham but I didnt like the "our weakened team is better than yours and weve earned the right to field a weakened team" rationale (sorry wationale, I sound like Simon Jordan there)

That said its bloody funny that the media going nuts the whole scenario is hilarious
1) United throw in the title towel to their city rivals be playing a rubbish team, when actually they still had a albeit small glimmer of hope
2) The shitstorm that United cost Liverpool a place in the Champs League - that three weeks ago neither wanted to be part of - by playing a rubbish team
3) The fixture congestion leading to the rubbish team was all Uniteds doing by their fans "peaceful protesting" breaking and entering in the first place!
4) The rubbish team effects directly Liverpool who constantly devalue cups and screw small teams over by playing rubbish teams. The sympathy to Liverpool is brilliant, lead by that great journalist Vik Tim.
5) No mention anywhere of Candlepools reason for not qualifying for the CL was more down to them losing to Fulham at home than Leicester grabbing points at OT.

The hypocrisy is so funny, I enjoyed that nearly as much as Jackies phone in!
Heard it, Trev not great today for the reason you state.
However, Jackie with her ‘boom, av it’ made me smile

some good points this morning that should be answered

what is happening with the punishment for united not playing the liverpool game
the club have been found guilty to letting the fans in that gate (video showing clearly)

the riots was a setup to stop the game from being played united did not want to play the game with liverpool because of the chance of losing the game and the title race to a rival ? the premier league would have come down hard on city or anybody else doing what them scum fans did
Spot on. There's no mention, especially from ratboy, that a second mob blockaded the Lowry - where both teams were staying - in a deliberate and successful attempt to prevent them for leaving for the ground in case the first mob at the swamp didn't manage to get the game called off.

Might as well do away with the 25-man squad list that gets submitted to the Premier League if last night's selection is anything to go by. The difference between our selection against Chelsea and the Rags vs Leicester is that all of our starting eleven would have been on that list and I'd imagine (without checking as I don't want to dirty my browsing history) that maybe half of theirs were.

its was far to planned for just a flash mob turning up ? i know of utd fans site talking about it weeks before
somebody from higher up at the club are invovled in giving details of how the club does match days and from where and what times they are in the hotel and leave

also the stewards at the gates and opening them to let just enough in ? you even heard them say right thats enough
and lock them back up ?

the whole thing stinks and the premier league should be throwing the book at them and its not the first time is it ?
fake bomb scare that somehow was missed in the full sweep before any game can take place
