In this day and age, the marginal cost of setting up a secondary station with similar output to the first is relatively small, but yes they must be doing well.

Of course they're doing well. The lad mag generation lap up the kind of dross On offer. Unfortunately the target market for stations like Talksport is ever growing and 10 minutes glancing through Twitter tells you why. It's all about the 'bantz' these days.

Talksport are owned by UTV who won the right & are launching a few new stations next month as part of the DAB2 platform that is coming out. Talksport 2 will focus on live sport, including rugby, cricket, tennis, golf, football and horseracing, plus some US sport. It will also offer a range of specialised magazine programming. It launches at the Cheltenham festival in a few weeks.

They are also launching Talk Radio which will be like LBC & have named Paul Ross, George Galloway, Iain Lee & a few others as presenters. They are bringing back the Virgin Radio name have announced Edith Bowman, Kate Lawler, Tim Cocker (ex XFM Manchester) & Matt Richardson. I've heard a rumour Colin Murray will do a weekend show as well

I believe they are all out of the same building

Pellegrini has always tried to play a strong team in all competitions since he took over, probably more so than any other club.The object has always been to compete & try to win all trophy's. Last week because of the decision by the FA & BBC to play the match on Sunday he was forced into a corner whether to play a weaker team in the FA cup or Champions League, due to only having 13 fit players and playing away to Dynamo Kyiv 3 days later.
The club pleaded with the FA & BBC to play the match Saturday in order to play a strong team but that was rejected. As we now the FA lost out.
What about the FA & BBC disrespecting Manchester City.
So much for ex players sticking up for the club. Danny Mills can do one!

I've not had the pleasure of listening in to all this gush today, so has anything been discussed regarding the fixture congestion that has been landed upon Arsenal? I believe that the Hull replay date falls on the same date as the Barcelona return leg. Something has to give there, so which competition will the Arse have to disrespect then?

The FA Cup replay is on the 8th, the 2nd leg against Barca is on the 16th

You are right. I wrongly read on BBC text that the replay is set for the 8th and this is what fooled me as it is also a Champions League date, and the FA admit the Hull game is untenable as regulations forbid domestic games to be played on European nights. Still leaves Arsenal with fixture problems though.

If they beat Hull the FA Cup quarter final is the following weekend
 
Arsenal have a massive fixture probelm and this is with them being out of the League cup and no games being lost to the weather! Just proves that you can not realistically challenge in 4 comps and we were right to drop out of the FA cup.
 
Dont hold your breath waiting for confirmation from the media about playing in 4 competitions and it being untenable due to injuries and suspensions.
They point at the cost of a squad to justify the lies they propagate about disrespecting particular competitions as they have papers/web space to sell.
Its all lies and rhetoric for the consumption of armchair Rags and Dippers. The sooner you realise the reason for their bile towards us the easier it is to read it and just think "Meh, Wankers"
