One takeaway from reading through the Swiss ramble thread is that in the years since the Coutinho transfer, Liverpool's net spend has actually been higher than ours at £77m per year compared to £73m. Looking at the overall picture our spending has been 19% higher than Liverpool's but only 1% higher than Chelsea's. When you look at value for money there's really no comparison.

So basically, if pep sells foden for 200m and palmer and mcatee for 20m each, he will finally get the recognition he deserves because our net spend will look great!

Thats what they are for all this net spend shite they come out with, their best players don’t stay and use them as a stepping stone for bigger contracts. Mane gone and Salah probably fucking off for nowt next summer 2014 is repeating again, Ricky Lambert will be dusting his shin pads and boots off.
