I guess you weren't listening because he is still against it, or at least agrees it's unworkable and it prevents someone with megabucks coming into other clubs and do what Sheikh Mansour has done at City. He says that FFP can't work anyway because if City happened to sign Messi, there is nothing that UEFA could realistically do other than fine City again and this would just be paid because we can do so, and we would just carry on as before. UEFA would be unable to ban City from European competitions because, and this was stressed, competition sponsors would be banging on UEFAs door as they would have no intention in sponsoring a competition where the top clubs and top players were banned from it.

Nothing to do with the fact that the rags' opponents are two tiers below ours, then Paddy?

He obviously thinks they are coming back with Ryanair, rather than on a luxury airliner.
