Great post. I listened to their pack of lies and bigoted opinions and thought, sheesh, you're worried, and so you should be. They do it in such a pathetic, untruthful way. Trouble is the gullible masses fall for it.Neither the host Danny Kelly nor the tabloid journo, nor the professional Scouser Evans are likely to have said anything actually slanderous in my lay opinion. As Danny Kelly said earlier “we’re just here to state the facts”.
But their selection of out of date facts on which they base their bile-led opinions on is seriously poor broadcasting. Clearly meant to erroneously or, at best, ignorantly lead listeners into further bitterness about us and neutrals into discounting our achievements.
When it comes to things like FFP the “facts” they choose are downright misleading, no longer relevant as they have been superseded and picked merely to pander to the misinformed prejudices of their listenership.
“They (City) were found to be guilty of breaching FFP - and that’s a fact”, said that geordie chump from the Sun.
Well maybe in the distant we were (probably because it was brought in at great haste to stymie us and not helped by UEFA moving the goal posts during the reporting period originally in question and prosecuted back in the early 2010’s.
However, in the recent and most relevant judgement by CAS concerning the following years, it was made clear we did (and to this day) do comply with FFP.
“City can’t be allowed to just go on spending what they like.”
“Otherwise they and PSG will create a two team Europe and a monopoly in the Premier League.
“ (Kelly)
“Sports washing” was again brought up with the political project jibe mentioned earlier by Tony Evans.
It’s all said so you’ll infer City are throwing in as much money as they wish to subsidise our club that according to them doesn’t have the pedigree of their beloved red scouse and by inference the only reason we can afford to buy Kane, Grealish etc.
No mention of the skilled financial husbandry and great youth system that has allowed us to produce the most valuable graduates from our academy to help us afford such transfer fees.
FFP means we can’t put in more than the odd peanut - over and above what we earn - and we haven’t thrown in as much as a bag of KP for the last seven or eight years now.
We are a successfully self- sustaining club and have been for years. We’re just beating those old timer clubs now by thriving and outsmarting our enemies under the very same rules they set up to try to stop us.
Unlucky lads. Best get used to it.

Trevor Sinclair “if Chelsea get Lukaku and City don’t sign anyone else, Chelsea win the league”
That’s it lads, what a waste of a signing Grealish was, and let’s just concentrate on the Carabo Cap then.
Thought this Bellsniff was a City fan?
Least he wasn’t pissed, being racist or abusive so it’s progress for that Knobhead. What a great player he was for us too. He’s very lucky to be back in the media so will no doubt go with the narrative the press love when we’re involved.Turn on Talksport

While I don't agree with Sinclair, Lukaku is badly underestimated in England. Ok he doesn't have a great first touch, but even that has improved. Fitted well with Kev in the Euros and scored plenty last season. Put it this way: I fear the Chelsea challenge with him up front more than with any other striker they have.Turn on Talksport

I don’t understand why some people can’t admit that Chelsea with lukaku will be very tough to beat especially if we don’t get a striker ourselves. I actually agree with Sinclair and see Chelsea as favourites right nowSinclair is City through and through. His opinion isn't stupid either - Chelsea under Tuchel with a decent striker are a frightening prospect. I shouldn't have to remind you that Chelsea single handedly stopped us from doing the quadruple last season by knocking us out of two cups.
Not that I think Werner isn't a decent striker. I heavily rate that lad, he's going to be a superstar once he's settled.
