If they want people to phone in, you should have Durham saying rughead is finished, can't score goals at the highest level with thicko Gough having a private wankfest over him.

Jacobs is a proper mard arse where football is concerned. You should have heard him rant about Lampard. He was acting like one of the cyber warriors you see on forums. "spoiled his legacy, traitor, boo hoo, sob sob"
You expect it from some of the more excitable forum users, but not from a supposedly professional broadcaster on a national radio station.
His comments about winning the league with our team are beyond pathetic. No doubt he will be blocking a load more blues on twitter when they give him some back. As with most of his sort, he can give it out but can't take it.

I remember a classic from him in the early days of Mancini. He was moaning about the boring football City were playing and his Spurs mate commented that he wasn't complaing when Mourinho had Chelsea playing the same way. Jocob's response was to say Yeh I know but I never said I liked it. Roll on 2 years and Chelsea are rumored to be trying to get little maureen back and Jacobs is wetting himself with anticipation.

Listened to Colin Murray for half an hour this morning and Didi Hamann was spouting bollox about Rooney. Said he had never put a foot wrong at United for 5, 6 or 7 years and we all made mistakes when we were kids. He also added he could be an ambassador for the club like Sir Ticket Tout. I'm sure it was only 5 years ago when Shrek held them to ransom and 5 years ago when he had the prozzies at The Lowry. Switched it over in the end.

Well as stated given the "qualification" required to be a club ambassador then Rooneys past exploits and Weetabix hairdo ( makes a change from a comb over that obviously renders baldness invisible ) he will be a shoe in for the role. Doubtless one or two of the existing one's will have shuffled off their mortal coils to make room for him - they can name a suite after him at the Lowry - The Rug and Brasses suite perhaps? - and at the last minute he can refuse to fulfill the role without proper remuneration - say £300k pw and a guarantee that he will always be the highest earner at the club?

I caught a bit of Durham yesterday, a caller had rang in regarding Shrek's goals for England and proper showed the **** up... apparently when Fletcher scored a hat-trick a while back for Scotland v Gibralta, Durham said that goals against teams like them, San Marino etc., should not be counted – then yesterday he was banging on that all Shrek's goals should count!

Durham and the thick Yorkie often change their stance / position, depending on what 'agenda' they're trying to push.

I recall one occasion Gough claiming that the loan system was a good thing, as it allowed players to gain experience and/or get games under their belt and within a few days, he was slagging that very same loan system off, as it was 'have a dig at Chelsea and how many players they had out on loan' afternoon.

You are bang on there, a few of us have been saying it for ages it's all fake you can tell by the tonality of their voices that they don't really beleive a word they are saying, once you realise the trick you are free to enjoy it for what it is, I have given it the odd listen too of late it's not changed one bit

Anyone listened to their Champions League preview tonight they have that Raphael Honigstein on, just got in from 5 aside and missed the City section, what did they say?

They probably didn't have one.

I imagine they've missed the fact that we're in it.

Or they're ignoring it!

I figured they may have built us up because they were digging into Juve.
The general consensus seems to be that it's the perfect time to play them as we're flying in the league and they have made a slow start in Serie A after losing key players like Vidal, Pirlo and Tevez. I tend to agree, for the first time since we've been in the CL I am confident we will beat a top European team quite convincingly.

In agreement, but thats a dangerous thought as a City fan. It seems like a great game to get an early win on the board, I can't believe that we're the 2nd seed and we get the home game first, seems like we got the advantage.
