Rag in my local sandwich shop always says he's a miserable so and so - also blames bacon for causing this whole mess. Give him his due, he's not afraid to tell it like he sees it.

His brother Jackie says he is a tight twat and a miserable sod

A rag I know asked him for an autograph years ago and told me he was a rude swine also.

That sounds about right, guess that's why they have named a stand after him , in keeping with the " united way " .

So that's Crerand, GPC, Nobby Charlton who are miserable old cnuts and " heroes " to the lemmings .

Surely we haven't got as low as that yet ?

I hope that day never ever arrives.
Couldn't agree more fella, but looking at some of the threads across the board, I feel we have some fans who exhibit the features of those we would like to take the piss out of. Some of those comments will be knee jerk, and I've no doubt in the cold light of day they will have calmed down. However, there are others who just seem to do a lot of 'hating'. Hey ho, it takes all sorts.

I asked him for an autograph when I was about 8 years old. He brushed me aside with a curt "Bugger off son". Bert Trautmann, on the other hand, always had loads of time for kids and never refused an autograph request. He was happy to sign one for me at about the same age and did so for a dozen or so other kids at the same time. Those two incidents, more than anything else, confirmed me as a City fan for life.

Oh, and the Ticket Tout also refused to attend his mother's funeral. Vile twat forever associated with a vile club.

Ray Wilkins was the opposite... basically said that City had little choice, and that the young lads have to be given a go some time, especially when needs must.
He also said that he thought City handles the Guardiola announcement with class - unlike how United are handing the LvG situation.

Obviously, with recent results, the Guardiola announcement is always going to be mentioned, and portrayed as damaging (rightly or wrongly), but at least Wilkins stuck up for us!

MIlls was awful. HIs whole attitude was that City should be able to cope and that players want to play every game. He never once mentioned that the team against Chelsea was more out of necessity than choice. It's not just about who is available on any given day, it's about risk management too - and we really can't afford more injuries.

Having flicked through the channels today and hearing the word 'disrespect' every five minutes, I was pleasantly surprised by Ray Wilkins contribution on talkshite just then. Praised Pellers for his inclusion of youngsters, saying what's the point of having a fantastic academy when the kids don't get a look in, and then saying what a great job Demichelis did in encouraging his younger teammates during the game, comparing it to the total lack of leadership shown by rag senior players to their kids at midgetland last week.

He was probably dragged away in a straight jacket for re-education after, but well done Ray Wilkins for saying it how he saw it rather than trot out the usual biased claptrap.

I just had to listen to Talkshite this morning on the way to work for the comedy value and they didn't disappoint

Fat Danny Kelly and the Romford Pele having sly digs at every opportunity. Dragging on Daily Mirror reporters who are Arsenal fans. Not mentioning once our injury crisis which is the main reason Pellegrini did what he did

Then the cherry on the cake... We'll get a City legend in to put forward a case for the defense............ I give you Danny Mills

I agree good post
Though Wilkins as one would expect was very pro Chelsea he expertly deflected the Chelsea coin throwing incident in to talking about the West Brom one.

In contrast Twat face Mills was anything but pro City
