Delaney has made contact with Benteke no where near the ball. He was sliding in at full speed and catches him on his foot with his knee, likewise Benteke running at full speed, yes Benteke made the most of it and went down too easy but that's still a stonewall penalty.

Utter garbage, he hardly touched him, Benteke dived, no way did that contact make him fall the way he did, yes they are sometimes given, but more often than not those type of incidents result in a goal kick and even a yellow for the diver.

You need to amend your definition of a stonewall penalty.

so your admitting there is contact absolutely no where near the ball.... both players going at full speed, a knee into his left foot, that in itself is a foul - we will never know if enough to make him go down. But that's irrelevant for me.

The contact was minimal, its not a none contact sport, its a foul in basketball but not necessarily in football, why is it irrelevant? The defender was doing everything to try and not make contact, Benteke had the slightest of touches and then he dived, I've been to london and you get knocked a lot harder than that going onto and off the tube, there would be bodies littered all over the place if people did what Benteke did. Also i have heard a lot more people say its not a penalty than it is, therefore it really isnt a stonewall penalty as you claimed. A stonewall is one where everyone agrees, even fans of the team its against.

This,only certain teams would have got that pen given to them,we would not be one of them.its a long line of shocking decisions over this season yet the aguero one at Wembley wasn't given yet this is dead on no bias at all towards certain clubs...

I agree, for me nailed on pen, he made a meal of the fall to the floor but still contact and a pen. Whether we would have got it is another story (prob not) but still a pen for me.

Carra on Sky was right. I was bemused as much he was that people was questioning it he looked flabbergasted !! Looked pretty clear cut to me.
