An inhabitant of a city fueled by insecurity, weakness and self pity. A city that has received millions in European funding over the years and is still in the top 5 deprived areas of Europe and a low academic record to match. In the main because of the lack of drive, ambition and a propensity to blame everyone else for their failiure. The scouser has a great deal of hatred from Mancunians for building the ship canal, which defined the demise of Liverpool port trade. Where most economies moved on, Liverpool cornered the market in whinging thus creating a culture of state dependency. A common question is why so many people hate Liverpool, because the Scouser hates himself.

I went to Albert Docks and Liverpool one - apart from Blackpool, I've never seen so many scrotes in the main part of town during the daytime. I just don't like the place - that accent is the most awful in the country.

The thing is mate Manchester has also received millions from state handouts to build itself up, and it still has a serious, serious problem with crime and poverty. You say we hate Manchester for the ship canal and our decline as a port, despite the fact Liverpool is handling more tonnage that it ever has done.

It doesn't bother me that you hate us so much and rely on tired old stereotypes but at least be aware of the hypocrisy of what you're saying.

Not every Manc hates scousers. Every scouser I've met has been decent, down to earth types. Just like many Mancs you meet. There are scumbags in both cities.

Not every Manc hates scousers. Every scouser I've met has been decent, down to earth types. Just like many Mancs you meet. There are scumbags in both cities.
Football wise, no offence meant but I've always despised Everton. No real reason for it, I just do. I'm not right keen on LFC either, but it's nowt to do with them being scousers. I've had many a good night in Liverpool, and have some very good scouse mates.

None taken, football is made all the better by rivalries. I'd much rather be supporting a club that has a few clubs which despise them, than someone like Fulham who everyone sort of likes but couldn't really give a shit about.

Likewise me with Manchester, great city and generally top people. The banter is what makes it good too.
