I removed the twat before you quoted it, unfortunately.Probably shouldn't have been, but he did call my mother lazy.

And you think the amount of coffee sold would not decline if the price goes up? Hmmmm, interesting theory which seems to have evaded the capitalist world for the past 100 years. So you think that if Starbucks disappears people will stop buying coffee?
One of the biggest myths in the world is that big companies create jobs. Spending creates jobs. If one company disappears, people will buy their stuff elsewhere. The places they buy them will hire more staff and pay more income tax. Manufacturing can be based anywhere, so it makes sense to put effort into attracting and keeping manufacturers in the country. But retailers can only sell where they are based. You can sell coffee on the UK high street from a cafe in Ireland.

I saw the original post. I like you, but I'm not going to be polite to some **** who calls my mother lazy when I know how hard she works.I removed the twat before you quoted it, unfortunately.
Oh yes you absolutely did - when you talked about growth versus tax rates and drew conclusions on a snapshot. It's very, very silly.
And once again, deficits are skewed by the likes of Germany, and a total deficit/surplus for a collection of countries is supremely irrelevant to anything in itself, and a question of trends for the individual nations. This is basic stuff.
Thanks mate.
Worked my way through college, paid my own fees. Had to support my daughter for 3 years of that.
Mam raised me on her own, with state support, worked her way to having a great career, not as good as she could have mind but she remembered what she owed.
My household doesn't lack for money mate, I'm on a great salary, as is my missus.
Those public servants you're angry at? Between us we pay one of them every year, happy to do so, it's a privilege.
Go fuck off and get angry and sorry for yourself somewhere else you prick, it didn't stop some of us.
Exactly. Increased sales, economy boosted.Er, nobody. It's a phenomenon that really only started 20 or 30 years ago here in the UK. Now there's coffee shops everywhere. 30 years ago, there were hardly any.
Well Costa Coffee was founded in the same year. I don't see how it's relevant to the argument though.Who was selling coffee before Starbucks?
