Taylor Harwood-Bellis - move to Southampton completed.

Thats true unfortunately, the club are under no pressure to blood academy players when they can just easily buy player for £60m.

Yes. No matter how good we are so many other aspects, this is where accusations of cheque book management have a ring of truth.

Not a single City kid has been nurtured to stardom in recent years.

bellis_taylor: “It’s unreal. To play for the club you’ve always supported, for every football fan out there, that’s what you want to do. Not just any old team. The one you’ve been at week in, week out. It’s an unbelievable feeling. I didn’t expect it..."

"When I was told I’d be training with those players, no-one can describe how that feels. Then to get told I was playing a game for City, it’s nerve-wracking – but when I got out there, it was just so exciting I really enjoyed it.”

@bellis_taylor on playing vs Preston: “It felt special. Having the fans behind you…they make you feel more comfortable. There were so many of them. The atmosphere…I tried to treat it like another game, but it was hard to do that!”

bellis_taylor on being recognised at games: “Going to the game and people recognising you…I’ve never had that before. It was a surreal feeling. But when the game starts and feeling the emotion and wanting to win, that’ll never change.” [via @ManCity]

bellis_taylor on opportunities for academy players: “You get opportunities and you have to take them. I got lucky with a few injuries that allowed me to move up from 18s to 23s, but when I got there, I had to take my chance and that creates other pathways." [via @ManCity]

Micah’s hardly recent. He is now retired. And Phil isn’t a first teamer yet. I rest my case.
Right so you want to ignore the one we did nuture to the first team and phil is as good as there,we have the best team the prem has seen,we are not a team that depends on blooding kids

You can usually do better than this, Karen. Phil is still “jam tomorrow” - a kid who gets smoke blown up his arse but should thank his luck stars for the occasional 87th minute appearance. That leaves one - Micah - in, what, ten years?

No, we don’t depend on blooding kids. We have a massive cheque book.

Teams in our position without a b team usually do

micah richards ?? really. he started coming through under pearce. you can't really include him. years ago

Didn’t get much time, but you can clearly see that he’s a unit and very mature for being 17. Massive talent. Could be Laporte’s long term partner
