its prettt harsh to judge a young centre back just starting out.

blackburn have some really good young players. Nice to see a proper city lad in davenport playing as well.

I read a Blackburn forum where they were moaning about "developing" loan players rather than playing their own youngsters. I think they have two other loanees from Premier League clubs at the moment. Looks like they are going to lose to Forest so he will probably cop some more grief. At least he seems to have played at CB rather than RB.
He got a yellow card during the game - not sure why. He will learn a lot from this loan.

I actually watched a bit of the game today and he did ok. Wasn’t at fault for the goal and held his own against Glenn Murray. Just a shame he’s joined a team who seem to be in freefall.

Looked like he was struggling tonight against Watford. Slow especially getting out to the Watford player for the 3rd goal.

From a few comments on Twitter it seems like he (and Branthwaite) had a bit of a ‘mare last night. He messed up a clearance for their second goal and should have done more to close down the attacker for their third. He needs to be playing alongside an experienced centre back, not alongside someone even younger than him. Hopefully it will be character building for him though!

Yeah I’ve got a good pal who watches every rovers game and he’s been pretty non fussed by him so far but told me he’s been much better these last few games.
