Being a squad player would be terrible for him and his development - he should be sold with a buyback option. He’s a potential England player if he keep developing at the same trajectory.
I think he's got every chance of being a future England international he looks the part and usually looks comfortable, I'm not sure it matters where he is and don't think it'd be too detrimental to his career, he can stay here a while and even going out on another loan.
A buyback is always a good idea but I'm not sure in his case we need to move him on I think he'll be ready to step up, just as long as he's considered for the future and if he gets the chance now and again it'll be better to train with the best, he only needs to becomes a rotation option after his next loan, he'll slowly improve which would depend on a couple leaving but that could easily happen.
If we sell him rather than loan out I think it could be quite embarrassing for us potentially, sure we'd have the buyback fee and it'd probably be around £40m-£50m as well easily paid for, but I think we'd essentially be paying some mid table prem side over £20m to loan him for maybe even just a single season, because if he hit the ground running he'd 100% be in the England squad within six months of leaving courting interest from other big teams, then someone like Laporte could very well be close to leaving himself, it's very plausible we could sell a couple centre backs within the next eighteen months and then the spot is available for THB if he wants it.
I just think any transfer activity should 100% depend who is staying and going, we should be looking at a two year plan for THB from the start of next season no point in getting rid only to bring him back one season later... He won't have improved that much if at all bar experience and that's the kind of experience he'd get form a Premier League loan anyway which is his next step
