Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Fernandinho, Milner, Silva, Aguero

It's going to interesting to see how Barker (as well as Ambrose, Celina and Evans) go this week when we play the friendly against Hamburg. It's a perfect opportunity for Manuel to measure the capabilities of the EDS starlets on the training pitch, as well as in a friendly. Hopefully one or two of them can impress (and not forgetting Pozo) and get on the bench against Boro.

As much as I would like to see someone like Barker starting against Boro, I just can't imagine Manuel thinking the same way. However as I said I can see a couple of them on the bench.

Ps I just read Damo's comments in the Barker v Navas thread. A lot of that is fair comment. Sometimes we need to take a step back in order to then move forward. Players like Pozo, Ambrose, Barker, Bryan and Celina are coming on line very quickly. I said in another thread that if we can't win against Boro with a Barker or an Ambrose playing in attack, then we may as well give the game away because there wouldn't be a player in the Boro team that would get anywhere near our squad. So if I had a say I would play a Barker or an Ambrose, it's just that I don't think Pellers thinks the same way.

i think the league is over in all honesty - we have some very tough fixtures left and I just cant see us with the form we are in doing in. Not too gutted though - would be delighted if we could win the FA cup again and beat Barca and get ready for next season with a fresher squad.
That might be a good way of looking at it for your own mental health, but I think it's going to be very close again

We go to Chelsea get a draw, then within a fortnight all being well, we will have Yaya, Aguero at full power and Bony. There will be few teams that can stop us.

I want to win the FA Cup though. Getting beat by Wigan is something we need to put right. The best 5 minutes of the last 2 City years was coming from 1-0 down at Wembley v Sunderland, thinking we were about to lose at Wembley again, to all but wining it with two of the greatest goals ever seen at Wembley
You do realise Sunderland wasn't the fa cup?

Of course I do

I was trying to point out that one off games at Wembley beat anything else apart from maybe winning the League on the final day.

Some fans turn their noses up at the FA Cup, but getting to Wembley and winning there is what it's all about. Beat Boro and we'll be in the last 16
