Our biggest problem in defence is Given's lack of ability to leave his line all the Premier leauge know this, pump in high balls 6 yards out and something will happen Lescott is carrying all the aerial work

I mentioned on here a few days before the game that Hull have a strong midfield trio in Hunt, Bullard and Giovanni. Fortunately, Hughes travelled to Hull and saw those three run Everton ragged, so would presumably pick the right team for the job. Unfortunately, his considered response was to play a City midfield of De Jong and Ireland. Doh? Even an idiot could have predicted that we would be out-tackled, out-fought and generally out-played in the middle of the park with that format. Barry or Johnson should definitely have played.
