But it gives the team balance and allows our more creative players the freedom to roam. Playing less defensive players does not always make a team a greater attacking threat. You can only attack well if you have balance. Playing Yaya Toure on his own in midfield, when he's not even a DM, would not make us a threat!

I agree with most of this but don`t think silva will be played from start, probably de jong and barry,instead of swp and silva.

I think Roberto would consider 0.0. a good result ! Considering the team has barely training let alone played together.

I think a draw a spurs and win against scousers would be a great start for us !

They're not totally defensive. They just get and keep the ball... We're going to be a lot less direct this year. We should keep the ball for long periods but still be quick on the break with 3 forwards who are given licence to attack because the 3 central midfielders also do the defensive covering. You can't have everything.

Forget standard 4-4-2. Much more fluid and Arsenal/Barcelonaesque. Which will obviously be rubbish to watch!

sounds like we might have only 1 new signing in the team, and with Tevez
not match fit. Was hopeing for a full sreangth side. Hope we win but would take a draw. Lose and we want here the last of it.
