Yeh, could do that, just it means having a midfield 3 of robbie, ireland and barry. I would presume Hughes would want a DM in there though.

Lescott could change for Bridge in the starting 11 and Petrov defo on the bench, he was starting to look sharp again the other day. Elano would be on the bench if he is still here but I would hate to say in place of who possibly Dunne as Lescott and Zab are more useful by playing in more than one position. When Kompany is back Hughes will have a problem with who to put on the bench and who to leave in a suit!

Agree Barry can put in decent crosses but usually from deep, Ireland doesnt really do that, IMO he's best right through the centre...............

Nah Robinho to play out left for me and Onouha ahead of Lescott but not that bad a shout. I would urm and ah over Zab or Richards and may give Zab the shout too.

Let Wrighty have the right hand side to himself while De Jong could fill the gap when he roams forward, he could be as good as Cafu with the speed and pace he's got. He'd be up and down that wing all day long. Lescott would be odered to stay back at all times so that Robinho can just concentrate on attacking and not waist energy tracking back.

Save for a massive attack of swine flu on the squad(might actually happen) we could loan out a few more of the reverses like Weiss because i cant see them getting much game time this year at all apart from that cant argue with the first and second teams you have there mate
