Teams you would like to see in the premier league

Would love to see Celtic & Rangers in the PL. Celtic fans must have been bored out of their minds for the last few years as there's been absolutely no competition.

Agree, and they are a committed set of fans. I know a few and the whole community buyout thing was interesting. Portsmouth's a shit hole, although an easy away day for me.

I think it's great that smaller, unfashionable clubs can reach the top division (Swindon, Barnsley, Bradford, Bournemouth etc) and then sink without trace again (Bournemouth will). I always wanted Rushden & Diamonds to get promoted to the PL. Now I hope Forest Green do. I think over 40 clubs have been in the PL now. God forbid the league ever becomes like US sports with no promotion/relegation.

Saying that I wouldn't be sad to see Watford, Fulham, Bournemouth, Huddersfield and the Scum drop out for a while, and a Sheffield, Birmingham come up. I hated Leeds growing up, but now I feel sorry for them and maybe they should get another chance at redemption.
 
Forest, PNE was a good shout, unlikely though, and Celtic....that's Stalybridge Celtic, not the far north wannabees

Would love Sheffield United, Wednesday, Derby (my son’s team) Sunderland and Forest (don’t tell him) to get back up. All have great support. I get to a handful of Derby games a season with the boy and the atmosphere is decent and it’s got the feel of a great old club - trouble is they take a holiday every February (an March last year and probably this year if my mates are right) and have too many comfortable mid table 2nd Division players - eg Keogh, Forsyth - who don’t seem to want to get promoted.

I don’t mind Bournemouth or Watford being up. It’s a great achievement, but more Northern and midlands teams except Villa - obnoxious, entitled, gobby (had more shit from them than anyone but rags and dippers), fickle. They are the Arsenal of the Midlands- think they’re footballing royalty.

Leeds: nah. Once described in Bert Trautmann’s Helmet as “Charmless Twats” after our 2-4 defeat in 2000 FA Cup tie. Saw them at Derby this season. Nothing has changed.

I’d even rather Birmingham’s Zulus to come back than Villa or Leeds. At least they’ve got some normal grounded fans and “Keep right on” is one of the best chants ever.

Is that the old Tevez feud with Sheff Utd? Haha. Yes, there will be a hot reception for you when they eventually get back up. Mind how you go. Much as I have a lot of time for them (and the ‘ammers) they still have a fair sized nasty element who would be up for it.
