Techno - new and classic tracks

Warp still going strong formed in I'm sure your beloved Sheffield. One of the great labels
Indeed m8, although been based in London since 2000

The bleep era is one that is generally forgotten when labels release greatest house/dance/rave/techno compilations.

If anybody hasn't heard it before I would recommend Warp 10+2 Classics album from 1999

Yep. I realised the other day I’ve got the 10+1 Influences CD album from the same year, and looking at the track listing every one is a killer.

Friday playlist…

An old one - Galaxy 2 Galaxy ‘Jupiter Jazz’
Probably sounds more house now but at the time it was the Detroit techno scene, these lads were from Underground Resistence.

A proper mid-set plodder - Christian Fischer ‘Holy Mountain (XHEI Remix)’

An atmospheric tech track to end, really teases you with the beat never properly coming in - Koehler ‘Oblivious Pool (Invisible Dub)’
