I have a telephone interview tomorrow with VolksWagen for an internship but I've never done one before and don't know what to expect!

Any advice or have any of you had telephone interviews before?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you stop furiously masterbating to dwarf sex porn, so you can concentrate on the questions. It'll be over before you know it, then you can carry on. You can't beat personal experience :)

For most interviews the employer will ask questions around the following - although the exact questions will vary.

1) why do you want the job / internship

2) what makes you so special - why should they hire you.

3) what are you good at?

4) what are you not so good at?

5) what do you know about VW - what attracts you?

6) they may ask something about your hobbies and interests.

Finally think of an intelligent question to ask when they invite you to ask one.

Keep your cv in front of you and remember it won't be very in depth over the phone - they will be screening you to see if you tick the basic criteria.

Good luck.

Speak slowly and clearly, I used to make the mistake of thinking that answering quickly and speaking fast made it sound like I think quicker.

I ran a VW site for a couple of years and had to do an evaluation somewhere down south to get the job.Think I did a telephone interview with them at some point but it was 10 years ago and cant remember it all.

They had a quality system that quite frankly was a load of bollocks but they did think it was the way to utopia.Maybe thats something you might be able to work in as im sure its still going at dealer level.

Maybe do a bit of research on them before hand?

As with anything,be yourself.

Ps Of all the brands I worked with VW were one of the worst for quality of product....I wouldnt tell them that though!

Don't ask a question unless you actually have one that you need to know the answer to and wouldn't be able to find out for yourself without some very basic research. By saying it's ok, I know everything about the position that I need to know makes It sound like you know exactly what you want and that you have looked in to it beforehand.
