Before the PL was founded back in 92, televised games were few and far between , can you remember any City were on I remember the Manchester derby 86/87 1-1 with Mick McCarthy equalising for us and the away win at Villa in 89/90 but does anyone remember any others?

Ones I can remember us losing 2 nil at home to Aston Villa roundabout 1989. A nil nil draw away to Everton when Howard Kendall took over and a defeat to Leeds 3-2 at Maine Road. Carl Shutt scored the winner for Leeds and their dickhead fans destroyed the benches in the old Platt Lane stand.

Southampton at home 91/92, lost 0-1.I remember it mainly because I thought it had no chance of being moved and had booked a holiday flying out on the Sunday.

The infamous Chelsea match at Maine Rd on a Friday night in 83/84, loads of trouble, lost 0-2.

We seemed to lose pretty much every time on live TV in those days ! Was the 0 4 home cup game v Liverpool on live TV around 89 ish ? Remember we had the mighty Ian Scott in centre midfield.

Hehe occasionally there'd be a 'win on the telly chant' near the end of some games which was always shouted down.

Think the problem was we were usually only on against a better team to be fair.

Have a vague memory of Southampton fans being housed between the main stand and north stand that game as they expected so few to travel on a Sunday
