Tell us one thing good about your life.

Without stating the obvious that I'm a lucky guy to have a wonderful wife and two fabulous kids, for me, the greatest thing throughout my whole life is that I was born an optimist. It's the luckiest thing about my life, as I always see the best in people, expect the best, and enjoy most things in life.... it just makes everything else seem good, and seems to help me "land on my feet" (as my Dad is always telling me!)
 
My three year old daughter. She can frustrate the hell out of me, especially as her favourite word right now is 'whatever!' - at three, though I had a decade before that kind of attitude! Nobody every prepares you for this stuff. But other the other side of the coin, she can make the worst of days pale into insignificance with just a smile at her daddy or an innocent question or statement, like 'will you play tea parties with me?' Didn't imagine myself doing that at 36 but these days are precious.

Losing everything and coming back takes some beating in terms of self-affirmation and vindication. Luck plays its part, as does resilience and an ability to make people 'buy into' you, and recognising the importance of all those factors gives you a fighting chance.

My 10YO daughter is without a shadow of a doubt, the best thing about my life. She is my best friend, comes to City with me and hates the Rags.

Nothing I have ever done, or will ever do in the future will compare to the love I feel for her...perfect!
