Somebody on my facebook page reported being scammed by Temu a few days ago.

It appears that the stuff you order is cheap, and it arrives most of the time, leaving many customers satisfied ........ But of course they now have your bank details and then they will try to take money from your account at some point in the future.

It seems that the lure of outrageously cheap goods is the hook to get your data and exploit it at some point down the road.

Yep if you can't use secure payment methods don't use it at all.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole - I was just posting because I remember seeing this thread on here and know that quite a few people have ordered from them.

The potential loss of money is just one issue - then there's the fact that it is a probably a Chinese data mining company.

Yep just not worth it for the type of tat that's sold everywhere.

I find there is a lot I struggle to find elsewhere. I make stuff and do things so tend to buy consumables which I have no way of getting here otherwise.

I've used it to buy some wood working clamps.
Less than half the price of the exact same products
on Amazon. The service was excellent to be fair.
Updated daily on the delivery situation. They absolutely
bombard you with emails and texts, however, you can
easily switch them off. Based on my single experience,
I would definitely use them again.

A work colleague came in with a jacket I'd not seen before. Been wearing it on the rainy days.

Finally I asked him where he got it from and he said Temu. I was racking my brain as to where I'd seen something on Temu and, of course, it was here.

I tried on his jacket and it was lightweight and a fairly okay fit. He said he'd had it a few months and had bought it for £17 (£22 now).

So tempted to buy a few items just to see what's what (I'd just end up wasting money on takeaways or sommat).

I've heard a couple of people say that if you put an item in your basket and leave it for a few days, you might receive a discount on the item. Could be worth trying?
