Good choices.

Visited both of these last year.

Unfortunately, Stan Brewster who designed and project managed the Millennium Walkway was killed in the London tube bombing....

Either because they are rather quaint.. or rather unusual, one way or another.....

Probably easier to "Google" them for an idea of what to expect....

Dent, Cumbria.

Dungeness.

Snowshill Manor, Cotswolds.

Lower Slaughter, Cotswolds.

Crich tramway museum.

Cragside, Northumberland.

Lindisfarne castle, Holy Island.

Minack theatre, Cornwall

The Morgan car factory, Malvern Link.

A day trip along The Manchester ship canal.

Any more?

I've just Googled Bent in Cumbria and it looks the sort of place I would like to visit. Can't believe I've not heard of it so thanks for the heads up. I'll go in summer.

Have you ever been to Broadway in the Cotswolds? I would guess you would love it. It's stunning.

Walked the 15 miles from Todmorden to Chadderton along the Rochdale canal last week, very pleasant until you reach industrialised Rochdale but enjoyable, did it in 4 and a half hours.

Take the family and get a b&b for the night on a nice weekend.

Lovely village with the same tea shop i went to as a kid (they do not skimp on prawn mayo filling, unless new staff)
Wooden construction play park next to a farm where the chickens run around you. Next to that is the village cricket pitch.
Next to that you have a lovely banking going down to the edge of a river where everyone makes camp for the day.

Oh they have a nice pub just across the river also, it really is a wonderful place.
