Tennis Thread

Injuries going to ruin her career? Or was she the definition of a ‘one hit wonder’?…

She’s probably got another couple coaches to go through before she returns.
Problem is that she asks too many questions and her coaches can’t keep pace with them!

Raducanu wins both her matches in the BJK Cup, coming from behind in both cases. She may just be regaining her form and fitness.

anyone watching Olympic tennis yet?

There's no talk of it in the Olympics thread, and I can't be bothered on some of the other sports that I'm not (yet) watching, so I'll ask here.

Nice comeback by Dan Evans in the 3rd set today, and we're one set away from getting Nadal vs. Joker in the next round.

Here in the UK, the Olympic coverage of tennis is pretty poor. So much so that we’ve paid a bargain price of £3.99 to get Eurosport for the month. Haven’t paid too much attention but the family watched The Nadal/Alcaraz doubles match last night. Got Nadal on now.

Understood, in the US, tennis comes only with the Peacock package, but most who follow EPL already have that subscribed to.

Nadal/Alcaraz was quite the impressive match against a good #6 ranked Argentine team. Nadal's net play was fantastic, and he more than carried his own in that partnership.

As you see, Nadal is now down 0-3 in the 2nd set, just like he and Alcaraz were yesterday. It will be interesting to see how this match goes. Cheers Rob! ;-)

Games 3-5 in the 3rd set were simply amazing. Both Fucsovics and Nadal go down 15-40 on their serve, but both manage to come back in games 3 and 4.

Game 5 sees Nadal break again after breaking up 40-15, so we'll see if he can lock in now up 3-2 with the next serve.

Nadal - Djokovic LX is now on. Olympic promoters got what they wanted for a round 2 blockbuster. Kudos to Fucsovics for great play today.

I'm guessing tomorrow night prime time under the lights.

Hopefully Nadal has enough rest, though maybe his double match comes up soon too.

Tommy Paul is through and Coco is up soon. Good tennis thus far!
