What’s the obsession on here with Emma Raducanu?
Loads of great tennis week in, week out and it barely gets a mention. As soon as something happens with Raducanu, people are all over it.
Raducanu had a fabulous two weeks where she took advantage of a weaker, Covid-wrecked field and won a Grand Slam. Good luck to her and she’ll be able to claim she’s done something that very few post-war British tennis players have done but she’ll never win anything big again.
Yes, the level of her talent is exceptional and so people are disappointed in what is happening to her.I think it is because she has talent and won a major early in her career so the media hype is why.
I like her and she's got all the shots in the locker, but the mental side of her game is weak and has gone through so many coaches, She could still be a great player and a major winner again because of her age, but the time is running out trying to change her mental state and play through with little pains and blisters and injuries.
If there is one thing somebody could do is tell her the truth, She is wasting a god given talent that very few get in life
The comfy lifestyle she lives is also a reason why the mental side of her game of being a quitter is far too easy every time she feels a little pain,
She's a multi-millionaire and loves the limelight and nightlife so does she need tennis.
Is she really that good though? I mean granted, you have to be good to win a grand slam. But she’s hardly on the level of Swiatek, Sabalenka or Osaka, is she? I’d never bet on her against any of the current top players.Yes, the level of her talent is exceptional and so people are disappointed in what is happening to her.
Its because she is very pretty and won a slam. Simples. What’s the obsession on here with Emma Raducanu?

She is the most talented player we have had in the modern era other than Andy. Return of serve, ground strokes, taking the ball early, mobility; all outstanding. She is more talented than the three you mention. Is she really that good though? I mean granted, you have to be good to win a grand slam. Come on! More talented than Iga Swiatek, who has 5 grand slams and will undoubtedly get more? She is the most talented player we have had in the modern era other than Andy. Yep. Her talent is not in doubt, but her mind and body may be. Which aspects of Swiatek’s game show her to be more talented than Raducanu?Come on! More talented than Iga Swiatek, who has 5 grand slams and will undoubtedly get more?
