Terminator the movie is 40 years old next year. I'm watching it - again - currently on Amazon Prime, where it's a freebie.
Problem is, it all takes place in 2029 - just 5 years to prepare. None of the political parties are talking in their manifestoes about how we deal with Skynet. There seems to be a conspiracy of silence. What we gonna do?
Sarah Connor is 67 now. She might still be fertile, so do we just kill her? John Connor's birth is due around 2030. We need to act - now!
Do you think we need to alert the Proud Boys and MAGA nutjobs to do the decent thing - find and terminate her - for all our sakes?
I just don't trust Keir Starmer to do the right thing - maybe Farage - anti immigration - would stop Arnie beaming down in 5 years....what's the chance of Kemmy Badenoch fucking him off to Rwanda if she can shove Sunak aside? Is Penny Mordaunt - with all that bouffant hair - really as handy as she looks, with a weapon in her hand?

I went to a Chris McCausland gig (blind scouse comic) a couple of months ago (he was brilliant) and part of his show he spoke about Arnie and the Terminator
He asked, "can anyone remember what year the terminator came back from?" And then he answered his own question with 2029
All that was going through my head for the next few minutes was drone warfare in Ukraine and how AI is becoming such a big part of technology and how there are reports that AI is being introduced into weapons

I'm puzzled and torn - between shitting myself, or finding a broker to buy me some shares in Cyberdine Systems.
No-one open till Monday morning though... and I'm pissed as well ( I know - you'd guessed!)... gonna have another 'Grouse' with water. I'll get back to you and let you know whether they get out of this car park - I'm not sure if it's the same as the first car park - I've been watching and replaying for about 2 hours, that Sarah's hot with all that 80's hair - softly permed, mmmmmm - but, it says it's only a 68 minute film.
Just thought - for fuck's sake; I hope there isn't a sequel.
