I listen to LBC quite a lot these days - they get calls from all over the country since they went available nationwide on line and on digital and they get international calls from Brits living in Europe, in the States. in Oz etc and it seems to me that 99.9% of the racist cunts that call in are from London and the South East. Seems to me that Kevin is so angry about immigrants annoy him so much because he has to drive them around the country in his coaches. So he is angry enough to not want them but happy enough to take money to do what he doesn't want to happen.

Oh and Brits on the Costa's are not immigrants "because they are going away from here"?

There was a lot of hostility towards immigrants in days gone by, arguably much more then there is today, so there wasn’t a great deal of integration.

Our infrastructure is not fit for purpose (housing, railways, water), it requires investment and the more we let it rot, the more it will cost to put right. We have a labour shortage, especially in the areas such as health and hospitality. The Govt is actively recruiting nurses from overseas - the tension in Govt is between those who want to reduce immigration for ideological reasons (the UKIPers) and those who recognise the economic reality of our situation.

You are hopelessly wrong on refugees, but I suspect that is by design.

I’m not disagreeing that there wasn’t hostility, but in terms of numbers alone the numbers now are on another scale. Integrating smaller numbers of people is easier in my opinion. Trying to integrate millions of people at once is very difficult. Transport, schools, housing in particular are struggling..

no one is saying we shouldn’t have any immigration at all. We obviously need doctors and nurses for example, but the numbers are unsustainable in my opinion, for reasons I’ve highlighted above. A lot of this is to do with government/ business desire for cheap Labour and low wages as well.

I’d also say if you keep bringing in millions of people we will always have unfilled jobs and it becomes a cycle.

I have a different opinion to you, which is shared by millions. I think if you come from say Albania illegally/ on a boat, which is a safe country, you should be deported. If you want to come here, come here legally - it’s not exactly a controversial view….

Where are these millions of people? The total population of Albania is only 2.8 million and they're not all coming! We've seen conflicting reports that most of the Albanian arrivals are young men and others saying they are mostly young women who are exploited by sex trade gangs. I have no idea what the real truth is but I'm sure the government know but don't want to tell us.

Total asylum applications in the last year to June were 67,000 of which 15,000 were granted. That's a fraction of the overall visas granted for work and study which no one seems to have a problem about.

The asylum problem is deliberately blown out of proportion and deliberately made worse by the government to deflect from their shambolic running of the economy.

No one would disagree that there is a significant problem of smuggling gangs facilitating irregular arrivals of potential asylum seekers, but rather than quietly addressing that problem by cutting off the need for the people smugglers by creating a means for asylum seekers to apply before arrival, the government are using idiotic rhetoric to dehumanise people fleeing from persecution.

The spectacle of a Home Secretary flying in on a Chinook to an asylum processing centre to look like she is repelling an invasion was abhorrent and clearly targeted at the racist fringe of the electorate.

As a country we do our bit but we're nowhere near the top of the table of countries that accept refugees, and a country of our economic strength (admittedly depleting by the day) should be able to absorb a few tens of thousands without causing any major problems, and they might actually help to solve the labour shortage in key sectors of the economy.

So if Farage has his platform they will all be here by the end of the week - the delay is only because Tues/Weds and Thurs are set aside for the entire population of Turkey to get here.
