It was irresponsible of the OP to mention these players but now that he has, I urge him not to forget about big Bob Taylor. The one we signed from Gillingham.

That is what made our club what it is today, obviously coinciding with other factors, but
1999 was the biggest factor.
Looking at players like bishop and horlock on twitter, passionate about city, not to mention goater etc makes me happy that players loved out club, can't imagine yaya, kolarov, silva et al being as passionate when they retire
Michael Brown went on to better things, although I can't think of any others who did. The five months between boxing day 1998 and the May Play Off Final are a defining period in our club's history. The time we finally turned the corner.
