Tevez can go if he isnt happy - Mancini

its a fucking joke isnt ir, a footballer who earns more in a week than a lot of people do in 10 years is moaning about having to go to training twice a day, the poor fucker

This story say's more about Mancini than Tevez. Mancini should learn to keep the lid on stories like this on the eve of the biggest match of the season. The mans an amatuer.

The manager has to have the authority over all players, if mancini is our manager and staying then if it is him v tevez or indeed anyone the manager has to win.

it is why United fight to death in every game, why they are so successful the second a player was too big for his boots be it beckham, Stam, Keane, Ince, Van Nistelrooy they were out. Fergie for his sins has kept that club aligned behind him for 20 odd years and it has always been his way or the highway, it is the same with mourinho, with Wenger and was with Clough!

We have to adhere to this the second an army lets the soldiers take over and over rule the general then it is finished.

You really are dull.

"The owners have stated their intention to back MH. The money spent on the club is being donated courtesy of the owners. So an attack on MH is an attack on the authority of the club, a rebellion within, a civil war."

I would have to disagree

The problem as I see it was always bound to happen... we are not quite there yet as a club, we haven't won silverware yet, we still have quite a long way to go...

Now... players like Tevez and probably Adebayor... basically the players who were brought in for tons of dosh and are on 130k - 150k a week now probably believe that our club should be thankful they are here at City... and I suppose to some extent they are right.

But I firmly believe that there has to be a line... otherwise they will think they can do whatever they want to do. I suppose it is a bit like it is with kids... they need have set boundaries otherwise they will turn into spoiled prats.

Mancini, I believe, will do the right thing. I doubt he will let ANY player, whether that is Tevez or whether that is young Alex Nimley, mouth off like this without consequences. He will make it absolutely clear that he is the boss, and I also think that should Cook or Marwood or anyone else from the top try to undermine this authority he might actually walk.

And the club (Cook/Marwood etc.) should really think twice about doing anything that would undermine Mancini because it will send the wrong signal.

It would prove to players like Tevez that whenever they don't like something (although in this case it is not even clear what Tevez does not like because he hasn't even participated on 3 of the 4 double sessions) they can just mouth off about it in the press and eventually they get their own way (e.g. the manager is sacked or walks).

What has to happen, as I said, is that the players need to know that although the club is grateful that they are here to help the club achieve its goals, ultimately they are not bigger than the club or bigger than the manager, and they need to know their place.
Excellent post Sire

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, all Mancini is doing is repeating the well known football mantra- no player is bigger than the club.

Saying we want happy players is hardly shocking IMO

Not that much of a big deal in my opinion. Mancini is definitely relaying a message to all the players "if you dont want to be here at the end of the year then you may leave". He was probably asked about the possibility of a player leaving, in which he had to respond.

People also seem to have forgotten that Tevez did say in that interview "but please he is the manager and I will do as he asks". Pretty straightforward imo.

Precisely.

The fuss is "created" by those who don't read the actual articles, and only read the headlines.

Mancini clearly says Tevez is "happy" (quoted as such), but the newspapers say he's unhappy (not quoted - ie their agenda) so that must be right.

Things have their way to repeat themselves.

Tevez had a good first season at MU but he was still unhappy because of his modest "impact" role. Things then got worse in his second season.

He then switched side and again had a good first season. But he's now unhappy because he feels overburdened. It's always him to lead the line. If City fails to win thats because Tevez's away or not scoring. I know this feeling.

But it seems Mancini has a different solution than Alex. Anyway, Tevez won't be playing for City no more than another season.

Amen!

If you aren't happy precious Carlos, then fuck the hell off. Never criticize the club nor it's manager in public again, casue they're way more important that you'll ever be my little insignificant hombre. Instead of whining, maybe you should work on your (lack of) speed mate. You're slower than my grandpa.

bad timing with those comments,is he really gonna try his hardest if he knows he can go if hes not happy or we dont qualify for champions league, ready made excuse. are we going to bow down to every player when they start throwing their toys out of the pram. also if we have to start buying strikers again it takes time to gel, which will put us behind start of next season.and according to the press half of the squad are unhappy

Bonol or Banal?
Mancini should get rid of the slapped arses, we all know who they are.
We'll sure find out one way or another on Saturday. I know the fans
and manager are up for it but it seems one or two of the players are making their
excuses already.

i agree the players are making excuses already, but them finding a new club with the wages they are on at city will be hard, unless they are prepared to have wage cut. get ready for redkrapp to be linked with tevez

Makes you wonder why Mancini wanted to bring in a player like Vieira, doesn't it?! Top pro for his entire career, never getting his knickers in a twist, and TRYING to show what it REALLY means to be a top pro.

FORZA MANCINI!

Is this real? Our hero Tevez might leave one year into a 5 year contract? I don't know who's balls you have to scatch, Tevez stays. make the man happy. that is all.

Make WHICH man happy? Is the £160,000 per week weighing on him, or the LONG period of time off the club gave him, with pay, to stay in Argie when he wanted to, or is it the ONE extra LIGHT double training session he did on ONE TUESDAY when we had no midweek game?!

Shape up or ship out! NO-ONE is bigger than the club OR the manager. If you think the OWNERS will give in on him, then no matter WHO you have as manager, certain players will feel they can spit their dummy ANY TIME THEY WANT! Doubt the Sheikh is going to go for that!

FORZA MANCINI!!!
