Poor man management there from City. Don't get what they are trying to achieve. Owen said he wanted out... we got rid, Gerrard said he wanted out, we agreed a price with Chelsea and we almost got rid. Torres and Miereles (sp) wanted out.... we got rid. Yes he gets paid a shit load of money to play football, and yes he was City's star player... but why try hang on to him? The entire world knows how volatile an individual he is, so why not manage him appropriately? You can't have him and the Sheik playing best mates, giving him everything he wants then try change things over night.

At times it's best to keep things behind closed doors and attempt to manage things quietly. Mancini screwed up in my books, and the fine they gave him was a farce. They had to find him guilty of something didn't they? And now the way they are handling Toure is beyond a joke as well. Why didn't they fine him when the issue came to light? And the Boyata lad, City isn't looking like a top club in my eyes.

I get the feeling they are trying to lay down the law, and using players they assume won't play for City again... but it's bad business in my eyes. If I was a player and listening to what's coming out of there, I'd be a wee bit hesitant about joining them. But then again, money talks doesn't it?

is this guy for real?

Don't see the point in quoting scousers mate. They're living in a bygone age & have no concept of what's happening in the real world.

just been discussing tevez on espn press show, with a few asbeens giving their opinion, steve nichol ex liverpool, shaka hislop ex west ham and robbie earl well know ticket tout
it was reported tevez as now sent a sick note in
you couldnt make it up

Yep the Depression sick note card we wont see that **** again

I wonder what the insurance position is on sickness. My guess is that it's better for the club if he does retire sick.

No doubt a ruse to stop us suing his arse off, but, If he pulls a sickie now, surely he can't just claim he's made a miracle recovery, and show up at, say, Chelsea, for free, when January comes around, with no consequences?

Unfortunately he is, and I've heard similar things said by other non-City fans who don't know what the full situation is. He wanted to leave, you should have let him go, they say, conveniently ignoring the fact that he was available for transfer for the whole of the summer window without a single solid offer coming in for him. I'm not sure what else City could possibly have done.

Even at a knockdown price of £25-30m we'd have struggled to shift him because the real reasons putting off potential suitors are his humungous wages (which he's not willing to budge on) and his oft-stated desire to fuck off back to the footballing wildnerness of Argentina in three years' time.

How Tevez and his advisors managed to read this one so horribly wrong really is beyond my comprehension. They still seem to think he's the lynchpin of a team struggling for recognition and success on the biggest stage, when in fact we're the most exciting proposition going at this moment in time. Our rapid transition from a team scramblingfor the top 4 into a team that is favourites to win the Premier League having demolished the reigning champions and last year's Champions League finalists 6-1 at their own place has thrown the most oversized spanner imaginable into the Tevez camp's plans. The only way is down for them from here; they really hadn't expected that.

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

the guy is taking the piss now. he has done all he can in the past year to fuck this club over

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

Depressed, i would laugh ifit didnt make me want to rip his head off, has he any idea how many people are struggling to keep a roof over their families heads, **** fuck off, you really have forgotten your roots

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

I would be depressed if I only earn £250k per week and haven't done anything to deserve it for three months. FFS does he not realise that there will be only one winner in all this and it won't be him!!!
