I have a very bad feeling. Tevez is not to be trusted, at all!

I feel an own goal against United coming on...something of that nature...i do not feel good about Tevez coming back to play for us!

100% this.

And no club in the world would by him after that, not a chance it'll happen even if he plays again which i doubt he will.

The statement was a drafted agreement between both Tevez camp and City.

If City did not believe it ticked the right boxes, it would not have been sanctioned.

The pictures late last night of Tevez at Carrington, with Vicky Kloss, stood with him in reception, tells you what you need to know.

Tevez was in over his head, the players want him, and tomorrow, Mancini will meet him directly, and get his apology.

A line will be drawn for the good of everyone and first team training beckons.

He cheated on his wife when he was a United player and it effected City's season as his wife had left him and he had to go back and forth between Argentina and England to see his family,
He publicly moaned about Hughes being sacked,
He publicly moaned about Mancini coming in,
He publicly moaned about Mancini's training schedule,
At the end of 2009-10 season he said he wanted to leave so City mistakenly offered him more money, gave him the captaincy, got rid of certain players and said he can take holidays to go and see his family just to keep him sweet and get him to stay,
He still complained about Mancini's training schedules,
He openly showed his anger at Mancini on the pitch after an unacceptable performance (his effort levels were none existent and his product was awful) where he was substituted for Zabaleta,
Against Newcatle at home in October 2010 - out of nowhere with nothing having gone against him and nobody having wound him up - he booted the ball against the advertising boards and picked up his fifth booking of the season (to me it looked absolutely on purpose) and in the next week where he should have been training with the squad he went of on holiday but not to Argentina to see his family but with some woman to Tenerife,
After a great run of points won we were top of the Prem, but in December 2010 he came out to the media and said he hated Manchester and didn't like Mancini and put in a transfer request as he didn't want to live in Manchester or play for City anymore,
After not getting a transfer he moaned about Mancini and City as a club a bit more and moaned about our fans being obsessed by United and said he didn't like the songs we sang for him as they were more anti-United than pro-Tevez,
From February to May he didnt score a single goal from open play, his effort levels were average and his physical shape was looking quite bad,
On the way up the steps at Wembley he threw City scareves away that were given to him,
At the end of the 2010-11 season he came out to the media and slated Manchester saying there's nothing to do, there are only two restaurants, he didn't like the people and then he handed in another transfer request,
He moaned about not getting a transfer,
He moaned about Mancini again,
It was unclear whether he was even going to bother coming back to City after the Copa America, he did bother but was very late back breaking club rules,
[after this, when he came on against Bolton as a sub early this season he got a big cheer of loads of Blues in the crowd - WHAT THE FUCK?! ... I certainly didn't cheer the ****!]
His effort levels when on the pitch were average and he was fat as fuck,
He was on the bench at Bayern München in October and when called upon my Mancini he sat there and refused to warm up and get ready to come on,
He went off to Argentina and hasn't returned since,
He's slagged off Manchester, the club, the manager constantly and said he never wanted to return,
Just before he did return he complained about Macini yet again and said he was treated like a dog,

... what's next? Because he will fuck us over again, that is almost a 100% certainty!

I do not trust him!

(he has apologised for just one of these incidents, via someone on the club website writing it for him!)

You`re just nit picking now !!

Only one story that interests the back pages today concerning City – Carlos Tevez’s apology.

There are various threads on the theme, but for once, all seem to agree that the former Blues skipper has made the right decision.

James Ducker in The Times sets the tone when he writes: “Carlos Tevez paved the way for a dramatic return to the Manchester City first-team last night after issuing an unreserved apology for his behaviour this season.

“In what will be seen as a victory for Roberto Mancini, the manager in his battle of wills with the player, Tevez met Brian Marwood, City’s football administration officer, and other officials at their Carrington training ground yesterday.

“He issued a short statement in conjunction with the club in which he admitted his actions has been unacceptable and apologised ‘sincerely and unreservedly to everyone I have let down.’”

All features carry excerpts from the Tevez statement with, inevitably, some drawing different conclusions from the Argentine’s words.

In truth, with the long-running saga now at an end, this is not the place to rake over some of the more controversial pieces as both club and player will want to draw a line under the episode now.

The Guardian’s Jamie Jackson is more positive than some, speculating Carlos will now hope to be quickly integrated back into the first-team picture.

He writes: “The striker had a dramatic fallout with his manager after refusing to warm-up during a Champions League group game at Bayern Munich on 27 September and then went AWOL, returning to his homeland without permission for three months.

“Although Mancini is yet to see Tevez since the latter returned to the club last week, the manager is said to be at ease with the development.”

And if he does play, it will be a political decision that could at the worst spell the end of Mancini here. I don't believe for one minute the manager wants this fool in our squad, and I for don't blame him.
I disagree. This will be Mancini's call, and his alone. Mancini's not stupid; he knows that Tevez could possibly do a job if disaster strikes and all three strikers suffer injury/suspension/loss of form at the same time. He's purely there as insurance.

Mancini also knows Tevez cannot be trusted.
What is the more likely scenario, Tevez doing the business or Tevez spoiling to get at Mancini? At best 50/50 because who can really read Tevez' true intentions here? For me, that's not even a gamble we should consider at this stage of the season. Look at the way other bad influences have been dealt with by the manager, Adebayor and Bellamy are saints in comparison but were shipped out without delay.
So I'm struggling with the notion that Mancini will accept the player back after everything that has happened. That's my worry because if the manager is told to include Tevez in the squad for political reasons, he could walk. If I'm wrong and Mancini is happy for Tevez to play for him again then so be it, I won't like it but I'll have to accept it.

I was quite relaxed about the whole Tevez situation til I read this. Cheers, Dan.

i dont think he has made the decision, i think he had no option imo, this was only option available to him.
stayed in argie and rot and no pay, sued for breach of contract, case would end up like Mutu imo. his value would fall like a stone. 2 years he be out in cold, he be lucky to command 20k a week then imo. his rep would be forever tarnished etc etc.

but on other hand if RM selects him, then we have to back him, we may not like it, but is life. no ifs or buts from me, as no one can see into future. but RM is taking one hell of a risk if he brings him back into the fold

Cant see him starting any games what so ever he'll probably be on bench for about 8 of our remaining games of the season

probably be on the bench away at Swansea on the 10th of march

I pretty much think this too.

Can't see him playing at all. Can't see how Mancini will be able to trust him.

In fact the only way for Carlos to have anything approaching redemption is by putting in the performances of his lifetime if/when he ever does get on the pitch for us again.
