Mancini also knows Tevez cannot be trusted.
What is the more likely scenario, Tevez doing the business or Tevez spoiling to get at Mancini? At best 50/50 because who can really read Tevez' true intentions here? For me, that's not even a gamble we should consider at this stage of the season. Look at the way other bad influences have been dealt with by the manager, Adebayor and Bellamy are saints in comparison but were shipped out without delay.
So I'm struggling with the notion that Mancini will accept the player back after everything that has happened.
That's my worry because if the manager is told to include Tevez in the squad for political reasons, he could walk. If I'm wrong and Mancini is happy for Tevez to play for him again then so be it, I won't like it but I'll have to accept it.
