Tevez finally apologises

For me Tevez only thinks about himself. He needed to apologise to come back to City to get paid. However if the Club have accepted his apology, the Manager has accepted his apology and the players can accept his apology so can I. In christian terms the long lost sheep or the prodigal son parables I suppose spring to mind. All I want is City to win the prem league.

Well said mate, I think that sums it up. He's nobody's favourite person anymore, but like you, all I want to do is see City win the league again in my life time. A fully fit Tevez, love him or loathe him, still gives us the vey best chance of doing that.

A lot of good has strangely come out of the Tevez affair. I feel proud to be a supporter of a club held in such high esteem by the media over the handling of the whole thing. City is a very dignified club, not a club to be pushed around by anyone, and a great club capable of taking on the strongest of player power and winning. Mancini has played a blinder, and I am incredibly proud of the bloke. Time now to let the dust settle, and leave it to the manager and back him (Mancini) 100% if he believes Carlos is the right choice for the right game.

well guys tis over now im affraid,RM has accepted his apology so we have to back manager, even if it leaves sour taste in mouth and he will probs get booed 1st game. its a huge risk RM is taking, i pray to god this isnt gonna be rodney marsh all over again.

suck in those guts boys, this may be a bumpy ride,

but for record, hes still a ****, wouldnt piss on him if he was on fire etc etc, just thought would add that in, to get the anger out, so i can breathe easier now

Just watched Purple Nose get quizzed about Tevez and player power on SSN. His closing comments were "Roberto Mancini has handled it very well" and the look on his face suggested to me he was genuinely gutted - whether that was gutted to give Bob praise or gutted that we've handled it in a way that gets us Tevez back is obviously open to debate.

Then again, I could be reading too much into it.

I really really hope Tevez does not get a single minute for the remainder of the season.

I think City is better off with him on the bench, or yet better in the stands. The man is just bad news, bad attitute, bad karma.

Tevez has been an absolute **** and in truth he has in nearly all his time here.He has whined about being homesick or unhappy almost from day one.He has slagged off the club, the City and the manager. He has even had a swipe at the fans for slagging him off after he ran off to Argentina and went on strike for three months.

He has tried everything he can to get a move and failed. Finally the penny has dropped even into his thick skull that no one is going to pay fifty million[twenty five on a transfer fee and twenty five on wages] for such a prima donna that will probably stick around two years at the most[his track record.]

But......he IS a world class striker on his day and he is OUR first class striker. In spite of everything he has always given 100% on the pitch. If he is fit and his head is right it would be ludicrous not to have him on the bench if needed.Sure he has used and abused us,but we can now use and abuse him for the last 13 games. He plays well, scores and we win the league,a club buys him in the summer,it is a win/win all round.

Your arguments are solid, but here is why I disagree.

Right now City has a working strike solution. Bringing greedy Tevez will only alter the machine that has just recently started working out really well.

Basically, don't mess with success.
